i work for LP from the UK, i have NEVER met, nor even spoke to Amy via the phone (only instant chat), and i have an incredible ammount of respect for her, and her work, i also know this is the case with a lot, if not all of the lunarpages staff, the person that started off that rumour really should try and work as hard as Amy does, and maybe he wouldn't be wasting his time posting ridiculous stuff on and around the internet.
also JHServers, i disagree with you, i work for 2 companies, and both of them my manager/supervisor/whatever, is a woman, and i thoroughly enjoy working at both places, i think they have better organisation that most men, and i would much prefer to work for a woman than a man.

We got slammed because of the tone of the article, even though each woman knew what we were writing and if they actually read the article instead of jumping to conclusions, they would have found great info on the girls we reviewed.

The American society is very patriarchal, and severly repressed when it comes to matters of sex, and so as titilating as a Can Can dance in the 1800's was, so flaunting your sexuality can be used to promote any number of things. Also keep in mind general psychology. People fear what they do not understand. Men do not understand women (though they would never admit that), so therefore fear them, if only subconsciously. But being society is as it is, they have had the upper hand in western cultures for millenia, and will continue to do so. Even through attrition it will probably be ages before this changes.

I applaud Amy's tenacity and ingenuity in what is a 24/7 cut throat business environment and feel this flame war type comment is the result of a downtrodden small minded jealous individual.
Women rock at this stuff dude, I suggest you get over it and deal with your own issues.
One of which I may suggest is a poisonous attitude to a decent hard working lady.

Just because this woman happens to be attractive and has pulled in a deal the whole hosting industry is green with envy about, does NOT mean she did it using her sexuality. I haven’t personally met her, however her reputation as a decent, honest and ethical woman is hosting precedes her. Get your mind out of the gutter alderoneas.
