http://www.npr.org/templates/community/ - inactive, on 10/01/2008, -0/+7i like NPR. they aired a radiohead concert.
- pixelatedcrap, on 10/01/2008, -2/+8Finally, a place to discuss A Prairie Home Companion!
- bstockwell, on 10/01/2008, -1/+61 million strong for Ira Glass?
- inactive, on 10/01/2008, -4/+8First rule of NPR Community: You do not talk about NPR Community.
- lapog, on 10/01/2008, -3/+7Long overdue... finally they are getting there.
- inactive, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3The NPR community allows you to comment on articles and add friends, quite like digg. I don't see that it's another facebook or myspace.
- robybeef, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3i don't see what's wrong with a person having an opinion
- Rendonsmug, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2I look forward to reading your epic fanfics located on the shores of Lake Wobegon.
/sarc? - bipolarruledout, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2EVERY website is turning into a social network now... weather you like it or not. Now if they can combine them all together we might have like web 3.0 or something.... which will probably look a lot web 1.0 but with less passwords and more myspacers to annoy you.
- bipolarruledout, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2Dugg for radiohead.
/Just becuase! - OpaqueMurdock, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Thanks for saying that! I thought I was going crazy. I have a bit of a leaning to the left (actually I am politically complex) but I honestly can't see how anyone would have much problem with most NPR programing. All Songs Considered, Marketplace, Morning Edition... all great and informative shows, if there is a strong bias there, I don't see it. But I guess a lot of what you perceive as "bias" has to to with your views. : )
- OpaqueMurdock, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1This American Life is the most amazing thing on radio at the moment. It has allways been brilliant.
- iamansp2008, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1you got it wrong buddy, I think they are the only unbiased source in this age partisan media.
- CrushThemTorg, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1I went out and bought a Wacom tablet and I'm looking forward to sharing my Ira Glass fan art with you guys.
- rand21althor, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1What about my Guy Noir fanfics?
- mercano, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1<public_radio_geek>Technically, Prairie Home Companion is distributed by Public Radio International, not National Public Radio. It just happens that pretty much every NPR affiliate picks it up.</public_radio_geek>
I await your digging down. - iamansp2008, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1I am a conservative, but I think the programs on NPR are much better than the ones you watch on TV aka FOX news, MSNBC etc.
- sliksta, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1NPR went downhill a long time ago. Too much like the mainstream media now and biased.
- bipolarruledout, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1I would say they know exactly how to use the Internet which is why they are doing this. Social networks are like the new streaming media... if you don't have them then you will seem terribly old school. (or web 1.0 if you are in marketing)
- rand21althor, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1Dugg for a TAL marathon.
- babyheadout, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1I always felt the Fresh Air theme song sounded like news anchor stripper music (I think it's the horns).
Started this year going backwards on a TAL marathon through their archive. I currently at 1999. - babyheadout, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1Yeah, the concentrated level of realism has been quite sobering. It assisted in making me realize I had to break up with my superficial gf.
- bipolarruledout, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1If they are anything like NPR I'm sure they will very polite.
/NPR: We take the alt out of alternative. - mr.gates, on 10/01/2008, -1/+1Let the Religious debates begin!
- Narcism, on 10/01/2008, -3/+3Very disappointed. Thought NPH was getting social with a new community
- dmadip, on 10/01/2008, -1/+1This sucks, now they will be asking for even MORE money from us to pay for this crap.
- inactive, on 12/24/2008, -0/+0Marble mouth is a best networking site . share with more fun, finding friend, video, game and many more.
http://marblemouth.com/ - jxs2151, on 10/01/2008, -2/+1Yep, the leftists just cannot wait to move on from ruining Slashdot, to ruining Digg, to ruining ...... well every place that they hang out in.
They have so little impulse control that the propaganda spewing happens wherever one gathers liberals. - Dalhectar, on 10/01/2008, -7/+5What... the 200 social networking sites that already exist aren't enough? Jesus
- Landlocked, on 10/01/2008, -3/+0Oh there won't be any opinionated people at the NPR site!
- inactive, on 10/01/2008, -5/+1dumb, dumb, dumb. A media organization asking a bunch of people who don't know how to use the internet to use the internet. Terry Gross will rival Dane Cook for number of friends! Yay!
GoBama: http://tinyurl.com/6xr3b7 - kigcoopa84, on 10/01/2008, -9/+3The moderator of this weeks VP debate has a PRO-OBAMA book due to release near the inauguration. Conflict of interest? 500 diggs 445 comments and still not on front page.
http://digg.com/politics/VP_debate_moderator_Ifill ... - inactive, on 10/01/2008, -10/+3I always knew the NPR was socialist.
- alexf, on 10/01/2008, -10/+1Oh great, a community for a bunch of middle aged Jewish parents. I'm sure this will work out great.
- iamghost, on 10/01/2008, -17/+7Yes! More liberal forums!
