And yes, the free outgoing calls last year was awesome. I ended up buying the service because I grew so dependent on it.. haha.

- sctechguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3If you have a firewall on your network, port forward the ports that Skype uses (Tools>Options>Connection to see what port is being used), to the computer that is running the Skype software. Doing that one simple thing fixed every one of my call quality problems.

Go with Pamela instead, it works like a charm and the recording is a much higher quality. I and others I know have had countless issues with Hotrecorder. Other then that this is an awesome list!

Hack just means "to not do something properly"
eg. Hack the Linux Kernel...because it's so big and complicated you can never truely understand the entire code to arguably 'Engineer it'.

Hack as in...get into a system through a different method than the log in page
or
Hack as in, swing aimlessly at a tree and hope it doesn't fall on to the car.

The only thing I could think why it doesn't it the sound quality isn't enough for Fax. Vonage being a Paid Service can probably afford the Extra expense in putting in more bandwidth for reliable fax.
