- theblueprint, on 10/10/2007, -2/+103I'm going to go out on a limb and guess the "other content" is the most popular.
- phantom_mullet, on 10/10/2007, -2/+66Supporn our troops!
- BryanJK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+62It's a great idea, and really nice... I'm just wondering where he gets the money for the huge hard disks from.
- WizardGlick, on 10/10/2007, -2/+58Don't let the spoilsports in the MAFIAA hear this.
- diablo75, on 10/10/2007, -2/+53A buddy of mine works over there for a contracting company now (involves fiber optics). He served his 4 years in the army beforehand. He says they have a NAS holding over a terabyte of pirated music and movies....
- Ocelot13, on 10/10/2007, -4/+49other content is probably games you know, like css and wow......or not. yea, probably not
- BlueSkyfish, on 10/10/2007, -1/+41"other content" FTW!
- noots, on 10/10/2007, -1/+37if they contain porn, like it is implying, this man is going to be hailed a god among the troops. He can totally call in favors now.
- tehpwnrate, on 10/10/2007, -0/+32Nah, they get lonely too.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+32are you starting a nerd pissing contest?
- vault, on 10/10/2007, -1/+23Very cool idea- what a thoughtful thing to do for our troops.
More pics http://deviating.net/ttb/ - from the engadget comments - po43292, on 10/10/2007, -3/+24Troops need porn too.
- BlueSkyfish, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22And what felony would that be?
- gldfshnpcklejar, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21my e-penis is bigger than your e-penis
- sp3rmizoid, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20And the Pelican cases. Those aren't cheap.
- Flamekebab, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21Terrorism isn't something a war will fix.
- MrHawkins, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19This man is a true patriot. Seriously, just skip the discs, and slot it all in to a PC! Fast, easy, convienent, and a nice reminder of home.
- schnikies79, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15This kinda stuff is not hard to find in Iraq. I have a friend that served there last year and he shipped back boxes full of bootlegged software, movies and music. He said all-in-all he had invested less than $50. He bought it all from steet vendors.
- po43292, on 10/10/2007, -5/+181 TB not much, orly?
- noumuon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13nothing like unwinding after a day of military operations to a game of counter strike... o_o
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15Seriously eviltuxking...reading previous comments by you, like where you bragged that you are taking AP History and therefore should be taken as an expert, I can sa ythat there is still hope for you. You are just a high school kid. If you want the next 70 years of your life to not be wasted, get the ***** away from the computer once in awhile before you get to college. You will thank me for it.
- zyklon, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13The most excellent idea I've ever heard of.
- schnikies79, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Nope, you're just a bitch.
- indicas, on 10/10/2007, -3/+151 TB isn't that much, but 2 TB, man - that is a lot!
/sarcasm - sp3rmizoid, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11So the war isn't about oil after all. It's a MediaDefender plot to rule the world.
- HPCELarry, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13way to entirely miss the point
- AzraDarkness, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Being Canadian, I support this totally, be it supporting Our Troops, or your Troops. I think they troops should have the right to access movies and music.
I do also agree that it should not be done on military property, but I know some troops bring their own equipment..so as long as they share, and don't get the keyboard sticky, it should be ok :) - Frnnkdlxx, on 10/10/2007, -6/+16I can see the female soldiers' disgust right now.
- jeremymccurdy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Somebody's got sand in their vagina.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10I'd pay money to see you say that to a soldiers face.
Your a coward and that's all there is to it. - Joe_rigby, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9They need to set up a donation page for money and hardware.
- Rockmaninoff, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9"Bring the rain."
- mrmatchgame, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9At least somebody thought of the troops!!!
- KungFuJesus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9....?
- F1R3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Its a great idea but i'd be worried about someone slipping a virus in that thing, or sending a fake one and then one of them plugging into the network there. It gets spread around and could end up posing a security risk if someone plugs it into the wrong thing. I know someone who does network security over there and they once got a CD that appeared to be loaded with similar type stuff but ended up trying to install all kinds of backdoors.
- bioskope, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7PirateBay should follow this up and set up a tracker located in iraq.
- bradg2, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I swear I ran across this a few weeks ago when I was looking for Pelican cases.

- tehpwnrate, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10That was sarcasm... or trolling. Probably sarcasm.
- jmknsd, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8dammit, I was brushing my teeth when I read that.... now I have to clean my monitor
- Frnnkdlxx, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Good Ole' Americans...
- ChristPissed, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9The poor bastards who got stuck with a free copy of Bill O 'Reillys tripe book would really appreciate some real entertainment like this. If you cant afford a whole drive, send a care package small spindle of DVD's with some latest run "entertaining" compressed to .avi divx'd movies and disks full of .mp3 music.
- AK10, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Used to be not hard to find. Apparently they cracked down hard on this. Especially in and around the green zone.
- ultra80, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Henry Rollins spoke of this the other day during his Houston show, albeit in a different context. During his trip to Iran he met a bunch of people and discovered that they have a thriving underground scene with secret raves, import bootlegs and all sorts of stuff. He came back to the States and bought a 100 GB hard drive onto which he dumped every mp3 he had, and then passed it around until filled.
His plan is to subvert the Iranian government with the Ramones. :-D - Subterfug, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5This is a great idea... I'd donate for this.
- Bilabrin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Hey, Be careful, Limbs are a dangerous thing to be on in Iraq!
- tech42er, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Felonies? Since when is viewing porn a felony, asswipe? This is America.
- bamapachyderm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Wow. What a sick *****!
- tepidpond, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5What a taaaa-rollllllling coward. I wonder if it makes him feel like more of a man to safely insult heroes from his basement "lair".
