- miccet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this is a decent read, but to call it essay would be to put it a bit higher than it is, its just a text.
- BrowserBabe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm Digging this because I'm ashamed to say that I was actually too lazy to read it entirely. lol However, I read most of it and skimmed the rest and can tell that this is an article that once I'm more focused on reading instead of watching TV (A regular activity for me outside of work) would be really good for me. Although its not really a tech article I think it is sort of related considering that all for our tech toys are often a source we go to when we procrastinate. I just hope I could take some of this wise advice to heart because I certainly could use it. : )
- jcs_goog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Good article for reflecting on '05, getting ready for '06 and preparing for the future.
- gman341, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Digg.com makes me more productive
- subscribtion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I read all the headlines and it seems like it might be a good article. I'm too productive (lazy) to waste my time reading the whole thing though.
- jer4202, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I do agree with alot of points made here, but who does this guy think he is. If he is such a good writer, he should know not to talk down to the reader, but talk as if in a conversation.
Digg + for the find anywho. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How to be more productive, my new 1-step miracle program:
1. Stop spending so much time on Digg.com.
Thank you for taking my 1-step miracle program. Please send $300 via Paypal donation. - Cyberdactyl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've had the loser blocked for more than a week, but it's still a pain to see hundreds of responses.
For some reason, the misdirected dumbass thinks he's doing it for "our good" because he found a minor exploit in digg's system. . . hehe. - eberts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Spelling, grammar and composition issues to this article. More productive equals less literate, evidentially.
- dinno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"With all the time you spend " reading this article ," he tells me, "you could have written a novel by now." Sadly, that's just not the case....
- Nougat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I disagree with making lists. If you forget to do something, it wasn't important enough to remember to do, and therefore not worth your time doing.
- mikelcal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome! I feel more REPRODUCTIVE already...wait that doesn't sound right... Anyways I really can feel getting BIG in 2006!
- Rirath, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Seems to make sweeping assumptions about how all types of people are and are not motivated with little to back it up. Provides very little actual advice short of listen to your body and make a list. Formatting is bland...
Surprised this is so high on Digg right now. - SiouxsieQ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Digg+++
This is a great article!
Thanks for enlightening us...I'm going to go make my to do list now! - mediaburn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0385 comments during working hours. lol
- KarlSage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dude, you did write a novel
didn't read, no digg - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0my body is always telling me to play videogames and avoid work
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is a pretty interesting essay.
- renskav, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ill read it later
- tour93, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0More productive? I just waisted my time reading all this ;-)
- wizgha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And I'm still not motivated enough to start working on my assignments.
- gwjc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0don't allow yourself to read digg :)
- n0other, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A good read, recommended. Digg++
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is that a joke? Who wants to be more productive anyways? Laziness is good ahah
- Moose_Head, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 While you're at it, don't sleep and stop reading digg.
- firebird2110, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0With most people it's probably a GOOD thing that they don't write a novel.
Skimmed the article, nothing new that I could see and I figure I had more important things to do than read it :-)
I think we're seeing too many articles on being 'productive' as if that is the be all and end all of life. What about fun? What about spending time doing stuff you enjoy? Stopping to smell the roses, watch clouds, just sitting and being in the moment.
No digg. - kolop1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 Longer than it needs to be to ka e the point. No Digg
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm too lazy to be productive.
- BrianWGray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"It almost seems like common sense." - Because it is!
This essay is a lot of fluff, there are some good observations but there isn't enough substance for me to make this a suggested read.
Speaking of waisted time looks like I just lost 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back. - WizzleFish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great article. I have been enlightened. And I feel the urge to make a To Do list. Sad thing is that the second thing on my To Do list is to update my To Do list. The first thing on the list is to make a To Do list.
Great article, though! I'ma bookmark this...
You have a point there nougat... - djhifisi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How come so many diggs? Read 'Seven Habits of Highly Effective People' (Steven Covey) if you want a much more thoroughly researched book on the subject.
- SlowOnTheUptake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Good advice from someone who is actually doing something. What a glaring contrast to Spamboy who is cluttering up Digg with his pointless cruft. I suspect it's more than his URL that's tiny.
- wa3yri, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This is a great article, and the dude screwing with digg is a jackass!
- Agekay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0That article is pretty good.
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0heres my formula for better production....
Pay/(******stupidity)=amountOfproductiondaily - botoxx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1KoolAid guy has been blocked
- dlaw, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0man productivity
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Its not exactly hard to click 'block/report'...
Anyway this is an article I really should read.. at some point. - jimshady, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Are the digg programmers doing anything about the spam problem? Why is it taking them so long?
I personally don't mind a CAPTCHA when posting a comment... - kurt880, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Wow there still is a real spam problem. I just reported a spam comment that was about 68 pages long! (of spaces and then a url)
- syuusuke, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0nice spammer
- msaleem, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0lame++ => digg--
- Philotic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Wow, digg is so broken. Please fix this *****.
- zelig, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0CoolAidGuy is trying to hyjack DIGG. Somebody please screw with him.
- holymoses, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Church of koolaidguy represent!
