- boredzo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5And, because they're a work of the US Federal government, they are in the public domain. You can copy and/or use these freely.
- Ellsass, on 11/05/2008, -1/+5Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.
- mrapplegate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Thanks, that is a good site. Perfect for kids or adults wanting to learn about the US.
- tearinox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3now i just need a 5 foot wide printer
- placain, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5People who are complaining about these not having streets - you're completely missing the point of these maps. Not all maps are meant for navigation. There's more to life than driving around in your Ford Explorer.
- bradzilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The map layers are awesome. Great find.
- toxicredm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4They're from the year 2015, they don't need roads.
- gbob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Time to rasterbate these maps and paster my wall at work.
- ConceptJunkie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Good point. Your comment goes hand-in-hand with the recent story about Americans' incredible level of geographic ignorance.
- Ottergoose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's a good resource if you're doing real GIS work too, they've got shapefiles for all of those data.
- cuoops, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Great..no more looking around, they're all in one place.
- mapkinase, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3No surface streets. I do not see a reason to swtich to this from printing Google maps.
- EBFoxbat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Well this sucks. GREAT concept. But I had a real hard time making a map that would be useful to me. Perhaps a need a tutorial.
- joel2600, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i seem to recall certain provisions of the patriot act prohibiting us from having maps.
also, you are not allowed to posess drawings or representations of bridges and known buildings.

- rmgrogan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I had a lot of fun with this. I enjoyed all of the variety of maps available. Congressional districts, Presidential election maps, time zones, & geophysical. Its nice to know they can all be found in one place.
- MattLat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3My dad helped program that map :P
- AuAndCs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That joke just went over nearly everyone's heads.
- jganse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great classroom tool! Thanks for recommending this site...
- CornStarch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1there's nothing there that can't be found with a little googling. I guess it's good to have it all in one place but when are you using those different maps together really?
- humblepatience, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1if you don't need road maps then you need topo maps - topozone.com
- CornStarch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1They don't have any roads, what's the point?
