Put alterantive links to the Coral Cache thing/Google Cached version if the person submitting the site says the conetent is static (I.e not a submit-a-form-and-something-happens type site, but for news storys, or picture gallerys it'd be fine..)

- anthropologist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Ever heard of the Slashdot effect? They set up Mirrordot to solve the influx of hits.
http://www.mirrordot.org/ - interiot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0General advice for creating and viewing 1080p wallpaper:
1. some people may display these on a 16:9 (eg. 1920x1080) display rather than a 16:10... Just note that a little bit of the top and bottom may be cut off.
2. really good 1080p pictures are hard to come by. Sure, everybody and their mom has a 5 megapixel cameraphone these days, but it takes good equipment and skill to take even a sharp 2 megapixel photo, even one that's not macro. (if you print at 100dpi, 1080p is the equivalent of a 19" x 11" print... eg. a good 2megapixel photo has TONS of detail)
3. if you're into photography, and can afford it, go out and get a 1080p TV RIGHT NOW. Really sharp 2 megapixel photos look absolutely stunning all lit up on a large display. - masseymassey, on 12/17/2008, -0/+0For 1st class 1920 1200 wallpapers taken by professional photographers check out

BEST WALLPAPERSITE ON THE NET!!!!!!!!!!! - HeroreV, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0To bad they've been compressed to hell. I'm only running at whee little 1024 x 768, but even when resized to that resolution the compression artifacts can clearly be seen. At full size all I see is speckles.
- SlashNot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks alot, I needed these bad
- xtremesniper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Errr, I wasn't impressed at all by any of these macro shots...

- Snyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have a widescreen Dell LCD and my favorite site for large widescreen wallpapers is http://interfacelift.com . They have everything up to 2560x1600.
- cr0wbar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Detour, my laptop is native to this resolution and it is over a year old now. Subz3r0, how is widescreen gay? I had no idea that monitors had sexual orientation.
- FelixdaaHack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0you can get the same kind of stuff at http://www.mandolux.com/
- HatNJ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Um what Pics all pic links seem broke -- no digg

I just downloaded the wallpaper pack ... see top of page. The only glitch I see is the thumbnails not always completely loading. Get over it - aonaran, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0If you don't mind spending for a great pic that's just right...
For $139 US you can pick out upto 25 images a day for 1 month from shutterstock.com most of these are 6MP or better (3000x2000 +) - ermau, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0These are terrible, not are they not even that good of photos, they're very grainy. I'll stick with my photos from interfacelift.com thanks.
- sekyuritei, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1needs less jpeg
- genen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0it's broken already
- ryan_merket, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0DUPE
- SubZ3r0, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0really grainy @ 1600 x 1200 but good digg for people with widescreen displays which I hate cause widescreen is for gays.
- Detour, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Only idiots run that resolution.
Yes, you, Mr, Dual-screen guy. - AlanOfDale, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Sorry, But Shameless Plug.
