Markouts not the fan boy, he's taken that from the source, - FriedTurkey, on 10/12/2007, -11/+50Can any video game news be delivered without a console wars snide remark?
Do articles get rejected at submission with "I am sorry please trash another console that has nothing to do with the story"? - FishPoisonCon, on 10/12/2007, -8/+42launches...last night
/maybe we *really* do need more grammar-related articles on digg - edzieba, on 10/12/2007, -16/+47"I cannot find a similar interface designed specifically for the PS3"
Is one needed? You can just use a USB/Bluetooth KB&M - chad78, on 10/12/2007, -2/+28A story about Google and Nintendo... There was no doubt this would make it to the front page. If it could somehow incorporate Apple and Ubuntu, it would be the world's most perfect digg story.
Something like...
If you hack Mobile Ubuntu onto your iPhone, it can Google your Wii's Hard Drive
... well, it needs work - rlg420, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27I am pretty sure it is impossible. I personally don't own a Wii or PS3 and don't plan to, but the Wii>PS3>360>Wii thing is a no win. They are all good systems in their own right.
- AntBing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23Or it means the majority of Digg readers can't tell the difference between good and poor grammar.
- MightyNe, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22http://www.google.com/reader/view/?ui=wii
- swavalier711, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21Grammar on digg... yah, how come the top stories always include the ones with the worst grammar? There's about 100 correct copies of the article but the one with ***** up spelling and grammar always gets front-paged.
Muse be a ruse. - stalefries, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16This one rhymes:
"Apple and Google agree; Put Ubuntu on your Wii" - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15or i could just read these stupid blogs from my computer and have fun playing games on my wii.
- dmilner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8It looks like it's just the standard 1, 2, left, right, up, down on the keyboard. No special Wii-specific code needed.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10"...could easily/quickly edit the post in question than I would."
Argh! THEN. - CocoaPuffs23, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14 I'm tired of the god damned fanboy witch hunt. Can't someone say anything relatively bad about a console anymore without being declared a "fanboy"?
- ricodued, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13Or at least a group of users willing to edit the poor spelling and grammar of others.
/is dreaming - polyGone, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9me not think good idea..! no want edumacate
- shadowsurfr1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Test it out:
http://www.google.com/reader/view/?ui=wii - meez, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12Dear god no, a video games related comment without a snide console remark!? That could potentially collapse the digg-time continuum
PS3 Sucks. - PunkRockRalph, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12@CocoaPuffs23
no. - spyrochaete, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Google is one of very few bookmarks that come preloaded on the Wii. I'm sure Google has some financial stake in Nintendo.
- or3n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6dugg for inconsistent tense in article title hehe
- andykram, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6How about:
"BREAKING: Ron Paul partners with Apple and Google to deliver Ubuntu to the Wii!!!!!" - Numfar28, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6In a similar way to how Google is the default search engine on Opera for the desktop, you mean? It's about the same thing.
- DustoMan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Hey cool! How about a Wii version of Gmail to go with it?
- sparkrainfir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5if you don't have a wii go to www.google.com/reader. duh!
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8then don't use it
- Numfar28, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Sounds great, but it's kind of ironic that Google can be bothered to cater specifically to this browser, while not bothering to fix some issues on other Google services for other versions of Opera...
- hellocharlie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4thanks dmilner
- libertinette, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You forgot to toss in something about Dawkins, with maybe a smattering of Ron Paul.
Aw, shoot andykram, you beat me to it. I guess that's what I get for hesitating a moment to wonder "hmm, should I mention the code that shall not be named, too?" - spyrochaete, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Gmail works fine on Wii. You can read and write email no problem. It even works with my Google For Your Domain hosted Gmail sites.
- jrieth50, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@estvir - what does a Google Reader interface made for Wii Internet Channel have anything to do with a keyboard/mouse? How exactly would a keyboard and mouse help you use a feed reader? The basic idea is click on a story and read it... Or am I missing something?
- ElCheLikesAudi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I would like a video to see how it works at least.
- rdoger6424, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7the wii doesn't have a hard drive. now I'm burying you and blocking you for being a microsoft fanboi, retard
/sarcasm - estvir, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4> /is dreaming
You'd find hundreds if not thousands willing to do so. I know if I say "their" instead of "they're" and could easily/quickly edit the post in question than I would.
.. but I imagine giving out editing powers to random members of Digg wouldn't go down well. - bjtitus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pretty sure this wasn't supposed to be released yet (judging by what I've heard from some Google Engineers)
- wired4u, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6look I like my wii and all, but do we really need all this browser crap when I have 4 computers within 20 feet of my wii?
- furst, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey Google, how about you add a search to the Reader?
- gatorsrule21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What makes this interesting I think is the fact that Google was able to develop this with the buttons on the wiimote preforming specific functions. If it was easy for developers to do this, there could be some really cool apps made for the wii specifically.
- hellocharlie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone know where to get the javascript with which to bind the wiimote keys like this?
- Botanicus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wii-G-Reader
Wii-G-Mail
Ouija reader?
Ouija Mail?
Obviously Nintendo and Google are forming an occult. - cyrilonline, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Or more articles on time travel?
- DJSpainzor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1www.finetune.com has a nice Wii-compatible page too. works well when I just want to clean the house and listen to some new tunes
- Syrrys, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://googlereader.blogspot.com/2007/05/feed-your-television.html
video is at the bottom of the post - cosequin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I thought that was similar to how firefox also uses google by default.
- Namco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Crap, I woke up in the middle of the night to find my Wii on. I had no idea it was downloading an update as I forced it off. :(
- Flashman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's what we call the past-present, or "is been" tense. (Also known as poor grammar.)
- fredbrando, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1For the Mathematicians out there:
Wii>PS3>360>Wii
Therefore PS3 = Wii, 360 = Wii
(squeeze theorem) - flaknugget, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0but anywho... go Wii go
- gemmini, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome! Can't wait to download this when I get my Wii
Dugg! - flaknugget, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That Garrett Rogers fellow pictured at the top of the article there... that's a guy right?
