The number of trusted sited Spamming is insignificant compared to non-trusted domains. With Brand and reputation to manage, we are not going to see any significant increase in trusted sites making an extra buck peddling Viagra.
Trust algorithm was not the real reason those sites that Spammed were re-included so quickly - This was a far simpler cash formula
Trust = Big spend in Google Adwords - gsam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I actually don't think that that is the case here. A well established web site like Expedia's doesn't need to resolve to spam and it would just be too much of a risk for them if they get caught.

The business model becomes:
1. Allow for hosted blogs
2. Make those hosted blogs difficult to find (sign up from another, new and unpromoted site)
3. Spam away.
4. Act all surprised when you are caught.
It looks like it works to me. - gsam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Interesting article, but as comments on the story at seablackhat.com say, these blogs are actually available for Expedia users so in theory it's not Expedia spamming. The question that now comes up is whether or not Expedia is responsible for letting people use its domains for spammy blogs.
