- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think we all know by know that Google is taking over the world.
- matrix2022, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you read the FAQ, it seems as if it's only supposed to work for the San Francisco Bay area though.

- noclip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Soon they'll announce that "Google Wifi Secure Access" can figure out what you're trying to do based on where you go and in what order, then display relevant ads automatically embedded into appropriate places on webpages. You'll all probably hail it like it was the best thing since sliced bread. Funny, if it was Microsoft doing this everybody'd be up in arms.
- Harlequn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0didn't work here in Stevenson Ranch, Southern California
- Xertion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"THERE WHERE WRONG!"
You mean "they were wrong!"? That's the problem with spell checker.
Saw this on Wired news yesterday and never thought to Digg it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So the rumors were true.. wow. Hope it comes to Kentucky.. probably wont ;-(
- aluminumpork, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's one of the better articles I've read on this topic so far. Diggity Dugg Dig!
- mousky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Noclip: The difference between Microsoft and Google is that Microsoft was found guilty of monopolistic behaviour whereas Google has yet to do anything on a major scale that would indicate that they are "evil" as some would have us believe.

- male73, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Will Google's goodwill reach the nether regions of third-world-dom?

- apotropaic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@noclip-
That because Microsoft would be charging an arm, two legs and a soul (one arm is needed for basic typing)... - laetor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Has anyone else noticed that access to the Google VPN isn't limited to the Bay Area or a WiFi connection?
- lollerskates, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Meh, I could care less if Google wanted to see which porn site I prefer.
- Harlequn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sounds cool. Does it work in Los Angeles?
- BETA7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0" The Google Web site has several references to Google WiFi but provides few details. One page (http://wifi.google.com/faq.html/) refers to a product called "Google Secure Access," which is designed to "establish a more secure connection while using Google WiFi." "
thats wrong google secure access is designed to establish a more secure connection true.... but its not only meant for use with google wifi as these guys state. - imtigger2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"If you choose to use Google Secure Access, your Internet traffic will be encrypted and sent through Google's servers to the Internet. The data that is received will then be encrypted and sent back through our servers to your computer."
So our data gets encrypted twice?? Right. They left out this part in the middle: "your data will then be unencrypted at Google to allow us to view your surfing habits, your e-mails and all Internet transactions, in order to serve you better"
For the person who doesn't think that Google is on the road to become one huge monopolistic company, please open your frickin' eyes, will ya? Google is spreading it's claw into everything we do online and now wants to control our OS, our chat, our public libraries, our VoiP, and now our Internet connections, all for the sake of controlling ad feeds and related revenue. Can you honestly say that they're not on their way? Come on. - gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0^^^^^^^^I know what p0rn site you use!! www.GayGuysex.com I go to www.nakedgirls.com
- gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0If you read the FAQ, it seems as if it's only supposed to work for the San Francisco Bay area though.
