- doctorfungi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+48To be honest I thought it would have been higher...
- SlackerCSB, on 10/10/2007, -3/+41They got 100% of my searches.
- saleem, on 10/10/2007, -5/+40What the hell are the other 36% using????? "live search"?
- gta3mobster, on 10/10/2007, -5/+36Google may have its flaws, but compared to the other search engines it provides the best overall user experience (Not to mention they have Gmail too). I like how Google has kept their interfaces simple/uncluttered without sacrificing elegance.
I imagine Google will only gain more traffic (percentage wise) as time passes. Inexperienced computer users don't know how to change the search engine or they don't care. MSN is the default search engine for IE and Yahoo is set as the default by many ISPs (SBC for example) with the installation software. As the population becomes more literate with computers it's likely more people will use Google. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -10/+23digg me down por favor
- ivantalboys, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11a google search for the word "seach" brings up Live search as its top hit. A Live search for the same thing brings up Google. Touching.
- kaptainchump, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Probably on accident. If i accidentally type in the wrong address while being forced to use internet explorer at work, it automatically redirects me to that piece of crap live search. That search engine is so terribly bad....no words can put it into context.
- kiiwii, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11I'm surprised it's not much higher.
I mean... everyone nowadays knows that to "google" something means you're going to search the internet... although I suppose it wouldn't surprise me to see someone "google" something by going to search.yahoo.com. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Don't forget how many people have iGoogle as their homepage now. I've been pleasantly surprised by the number and quality of widgets available there.
- jp3550, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9If they are ... i feel sorry for them.
- chris4404, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6It would be if MSN wasn't Internet Explorer's default home page.
- Nothlit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4If you're referring to SBC the ISP, as mentioned in the first post that you failed to properly reply to, that would be Southwestern Bell Corporation...
- iceschade, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I thought they died in the Great War...
- i4ybrid, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Remember Yahoo? They're still around.
- Eldoo77, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Ya... WHO??
- greganalytic, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5My webpages show about 98% coming from Google. Everyone else seems to be saying the same thing. What's going on?
- exomni, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I'm honestly pretty suprised it's that low.
- MillionsLivio, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4What a mature teacher you must be.
- mojaam, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Yep, was about to set NetVibes as my homepage then all of the sudden Google hits me with iGoogle. Very nice stuff.
- SimonGray, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Condoms. Always use condoms.
- pw378, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Who?
- steban, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Older folks that just use the search that comes with the OS.
- pw378, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Google 63.98%
Yawho? 22.87%
MSN+Live 7.98% (Microsoft had to combine both MSN and the Live traffic in order to beat Ask.com)
Ask 3.49% - tjkisst, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Why don't you just Google that info and find out?
- CeeJayDK, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I'm surprised that Google's share was only 64% - I expected it to be higher .. around 80%
- uidzero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2That actually seems low to me.
- wageslaven, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Im surprised yes. Yesterday, Nielson Netratings released this (sorry for the pdf).

There is also:
sackcloth
rags
old blankets
and a personal favorite (just for its name) loincloth. - Error601, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2So, does that put them in violation of anti-trust laws? Time for the courts to break them up into baby googles?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1http://www.google.com/search?q=What+the+hell+are+t ...
- just4fun, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3all the people here who are saying why others are not using Google... just try once in ask.com, live search and not to forget search.yahoo.com and you'll see the difference. I know other search engines are trying to catch up but they are not really that far behind.
Google has to act now and clean up all the junk sites in their index which are existing for only one purpose earning money by creating doorway pages with lots and lots of google ads.
Try using other search engines and you'll be surprised to see the results.
I still use Google but also using other search engines occasionally to see other side of world. - vat0r, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4lol ask.com
- Bloc, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3the new search page is pretty decent - especially the bits on the sides of your search.
- extrabigmehdi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2well, I'm more interested by the 36% that do not use google ...
what do they use ? - fkr3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2... how is it safe for the students to use it? They can't find porn or anything else that'll land you in trouble on Google?
- pw378, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Most likely, NCSA Mosaic over a 14.4 dialup... (did this down if you don't know the history of the web)
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2O RLY?
- JohnnyXmas, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2That's. . .surprisingly low. What retarded elderly people are not using Google?
- chyya, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1no, america
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Unrelated comment: Your mum's gone to buy groceries.
- abandonedhero, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2There's this wonderful thing called reading. If you actually bothered to look at the bottom of ANY digg page, you would have seen this link:

Your answer is no. - GoldMaster, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0What a mature teacher you must be.
- iceschade, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1More people should use goodsearch.com.
- Khook20, on 10/10/2007, -6/+6The statistics are interesting, but is anyone really surprised?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1And you belong to earth?
- vonnegut, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Yawho?
- Floodle, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1it's 64% of searches, not searchers - people who use google probably do less searching since they find what they want more quickly - the small number of people using other search engines have to search multiple times to achieve the required result.
- tartle, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0If my site stats are anywhere near reality, Yahoo must require four times the searches as Google does.
- vade79, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1It's the algorithm.
- hoppdawg, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2That's it?
