Google, Microsoft Said To Be Preparing Bids For Digg
techcrunch.com — "...despite a number of false starts, this time a sale looks like it might actually happen, and soon. We hear from a source very close to the deal that four companies are in heavy due diligence with Digg - two media/news companies, and two big Internet companies - Google and Microsoft. And Google and Microsoft are on the verge of making their bids"

- upick, on 04/29/2008, -4/+2OMG digg is for sale? Kevin, what's doing on? If its sold will it remain the same, or will it change?
- killbert24, on 04/29/2008, -1/+1Can you blame these two companies? Digg is a hot piece of website action! My suggestion to Kevin Rose, however, is NOT to sell!
This website deserves to stay with its original owners, for the sake of keeping the American dream alive if nothing else. I'm sick of seeing a small handful of companies buying out other people's hard work.
Lets click on the Digg advertisements as a sign of loyalty! - mark076h, on 04/29/2008, -1/+9this is from back in March, buried
- gamebittk, on 04/30/2008, -0/+1Did yThis article is just as relevant now as it was in March.
- RuffRidr, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1Ugh. These are both bad options. Microsoft wouldn't be able to leave well enough alone and would have to "Live" integrate everything. The extreme opposite would be Google, who has recently had a trackrecord for neglecting its properties.
If I had to pick one of them I guess I'd go with Google, but it would be reluctantly. - krystalo, on 04/29/2008, -1/+2Buried as Innacurate.
Posted on March 7 2008 and already debunked.- gamebittk, on 04/29/2008, -0/+1Did you read the update? There are obviously those who disagree. And this article is just as relevant now as it was on March 7th.
