Google, Intel and cable companies ponder nationwide WiMAX JV

arstechnica.com — Three cable companies (Comcast, Time Warner, and Brighthouse), Google, and Intel are in talks with Sprint and Clearwire over forming a new company that would run a nationwide WiMAX network. Sources close to the talks tell Ars that the discussions are in their early stages, but that the companies are excited by the prospect.
