- dannysullivan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I've also done a write-up about this at Search Engine Land after talking to Google, and you'll find before-and-after screenshots here. Story is here:

Really, Googlebombs represented a small minority of the actual populations vote.
Maybe not with respect to George Bush but "worst band ever" pointing to creed was definitely a good example.
They sold millions of albums. Made the billboard yearly top 100. If that's was truly the "public's" opinion then that wouldn't have happened.
Googlebombing was strict manipulation and nothing more. Google figured this out seeing how the blogs link together and how the text is the same.
If you have something to say, say it and google *WILL* pick it up. Beliving in Google bombing being popular opinion is just ignorance.
**note. I don't like Creed.. =) - saikhan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1^You should have submitted that to digg(it has graphics!). Very nice article.
- dickardo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1msn.com hasn't fixed it yet: http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=miserable+failure&FORM=MSNH
- ruds, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Michael Moore is still holding a strong # 5 for failure.
