- insomniak29, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I find it funny that one of the few products Google issues that is NOT in beta chokes. I say this because I was about to post a comment saying something along the lines of "come on people, it's in beta" but I can't find the word "beta" on the Analytics site. ;)
Still glad I signed up already. Looks like it will be one of the best free stats packages out there. - BlueLaser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've been staring at this message on my Google Analytics home page for DAYS:
"Analytics has been successfully installed and data is being gathered now. The demand for Google Analytics surpassed even our highest expectations and as a result some customers may temporarily experience report-update delays. All data continues to be collected and no data has been lost. We are currently adding resources to ensure high-quality service. We apologize for any inconvenience."
I guess I'll just keep on waiting... - BlueLaser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Txgoodie:
From the Analytics home page, use Filter Manager to create a filter that does not record data from your IP address.
According to Google: "Filters are applied to the information coming into your account, to manipulate the final data in order to provide accurate reports. These filters can be set up to exclude visits from particular IP addresses, to report only on a subdomain or directory, or to take dynamic page URLs and convert them into readable text strings." - bonlebon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Those bugs were announced since it started:

- zelig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I signed up on the first day. It's been working pretty good but on some days some of the data gets lost- I think Urchin will be unstable for a couple more weeks till Google can get caught up.
- rabiddogma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah it took well over the 12 hours promised for my first data to show up. And then so far I've only gotten one days data--last thursday, and nothing since, so I figured there must be problems with it.
- Chewie67, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm one of those 234,725 saps who signed up on day one. I've got 3 days worth of data, and another 3 or 4 that are missing.
Looks like it has a lot of potential, but Google pumped the neighbors cat with the available CPU. Did they think they'd get a dozen people interested? Is it running on a 486 in someone's cubicle? You just can't roll out a service like this without preparing for an onslaught. - Nick_Circosta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I got mine, I'm Happy :)
- snowboarder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its nice I have used it

- troydoogle7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It stopped updating on saturday. I went from having thousands of hits to 2 on saturday. My other stats on my server is still reporting traffic as normal.. Guess they shoudl have followed the gmail and used an invitation system! Its really great when it works!
- chadell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, it is nice when it works.
- Eiferer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Google Analytics?
address=/google-analytics.com/127.0.0.1 - flamingmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Signed up last week , its definetly overloaded. I've got one days worth of stats :(
- GLSmyth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmmm, I signed up when it initially started up, couldn't get to my statistics, and now it doesn't recognize me. I think that someone needs to get things straight.
- lonelycanuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0how do you get it to work on a blogger blog? i can't seem to figure it out
- Gala, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You don't have to put your code in the head like it suggests... put it anywhere in your blogger template...
- jersey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I tried to sign up last night and it said no... none for you sir. Thats a pisser.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It'd be funny if they start an invite system like gmail from couple of years back.
- dude3609, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0=D
I'm glad i signed up early for my site..
I actually have thousands of people who visit my site............... So yea, really glad i did this early.. hehe - Txgoodie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks, BlueLaser, I'll filter myself out ASAP! Alas, you'd of thought I'd of learned to read by now too, but I got excited and just charged right in! We don't need no stinkin' directions... ;-)
- Stig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm actually experiencing some google-analytics and googlesyndication lag when surfing digg. Does digg use google-analytics too?
- BlueLaser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Actually, it will unless you apply a filter...
- kid625, on 04/19/2009, -0/+0Anybody knows whats the maximum number of profiles you can add in one account? It is Apr 2009 now.
http://www.zoommetrix.com - Gala, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yes...
_uacct = "UA-50737-1";
urchinTracker(); - lonelycanuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i put it in my blogger template, but it still says "unconfirmed" when i try to confirm it - it implies that I somehow did not enter the code properly
any idea? - jay314, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was wondering how long it would take for google to be swamped. I can't imagine how much traffic they're generating with the analytics.
Have you noticed both Digg and Slashdot use it? That alone is a helluvalotta traffic. - Gala, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's a "bug" according to Google... rest assured, your data is still being collected
- zelig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Remember that it doesn't record YOUR hits.
- mrapplegate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Current users can add 5 websites to track...they added this about a week or so ago.
- horatio324, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0::: cough :: beta :: cough::
- troydoogle7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lonelycan its probably installed ok, check your stats anyway. Mine still say unconfirmed but i get the stats anyway. Bearing in mind it hasn't been working since saturday so don't be surprised if there is no data if you have installed it since then
- spin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Obiviously google completely underestimated the interest in this web app. I am sure they will get the service back up and running very soon, I cant wait. While it only worked for a couple of days, The stats it gave me were just AWESOME! So much better than free stats like webalizer and awstats.
If i produced a pay stats service, I'd be VERY, VERY AFRAID! - Txgoodie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0BlueLaser! How does one set up a filter so it won't record their own visits? TIA... BTW it's working for mine just says it isn't...that'd make it a COY toy, wouldn't it?
- decompiler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0got mine thx to digg!
- psilvestri, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Beltza - THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
- .Steven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I got mine.
- Breadstick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I noticed a couple days lag in tracking, but I just checked and looks like google just got all caught up :)
- samster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0My visitor graph has a lonely Pyramid on it, had the code on my site from day one and Google only has 1 day of data recorded.
I'll stick with Mint. - navtiidia, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1NONE SHALL PASS!!!
- stoops, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0"Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?”
“Not at all. They could be carried.”
“What, a swallow, carrying a coconut?”
“It could grip it by the husk.”
“It's not a question of where he grips it. It's a simple question of weight ratios. A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut!”
“Listen, in order to maintain air speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings 43 times every second, right?”
Stoopified. - slhilbert, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0i got signed up, but my stats haven't been updated for 3 days. It is pretty shotty right now. Sometimes I have stats sometimes I don't.
