Thank you Firefox. - benitojuarez, on 10/12/2007, -5/+25Slow news day huh?

He's probably using IE because he has Adblock on FF. - belmer, on 10/12/2007, -8/+19here's a screenshot if you can't see it.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I don't get this hole ad blocking thing, i mean, you like your free services right? well free is non existing, the services are paid for by ads, therefor blocking ads = you pay for services..
Ill gladly take a few ads for say digg being free..(or any other site for that matter) - coollettuce, on 10/12/2007, -7/+13Damn I must be a fan boy because I dugg you down for using IE.
- AnubisUK, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Digg's front page is filling up with more and more ***** every day!
- TheLD, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Interesting new way to get indirectly dugg.
See submitter's site and the stumbleupon page linked to. - anitab83, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4These are only seen by non-users. Users (and in particular, subscribers) aren't shown the Google ads. As a subscriber, they don't even show me ads while stumbling, pretty cool.
- xJVz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@webmaster dicks:
Since you only get money if I _click_ the ad, and since I'm _not_ going to click the ***** ad in the first place, I'm saving the advertiser bandwidth (which = money). I increase their bottom line so that you can continue to blogspam on Digg. - benitojuarez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3why would ANYONE care what text based ads a particular website is using unless they had some sort of financial stake in it? seriously.
- quomen, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4No, I looked at the jpeg.
@you guys,
I use opera too. Stop hating - ifonly, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7Plasmatica, I guess you don't like to support websites you visit?
- bjornski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I never even noticed. But then, someone mentioned that they aren't shown for subscribers.
It's probably news because of the amount of people that use SU, and the fact that they weren't there before.
It's kind of a big change to the user pages

(shameless plug) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why the ***** are you excited about ADS?
***** SPAM.
Yeah, Digg it up you gullible morons. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What is the story "behind" this? Why is it so special SU has G ads?
- bjornski, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Yeah! Those damned users tagging stories YOU don't have an interest in!
*****! - bjornski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Because I don't want them there.
I understand it doesn't cost me to have my page there, but if they're making a PROFIT off of my content, how about splitting a bit with me? - Kevinb1577, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i dont see it...?
i turned adblock off too... - skored, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2About 10 days ago there were rumors that eBay was going to acquire StumbleUpon (supposedly beating out Google and AOL). On the same, Google releases its own version of StumbleUpon with this "dice" that gets added to your Google toolbar. Many people felt this was done to rain on their parade and possibly kill of their business...
- jmeeter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1*pats Adblock Plus*
- randiptheman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He could of just linked straight to it then, don't you think?
- adz999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Simple when there is ads, i dont click them, using adblocker saves me time not having to parse them through my brain "losing us webmasters money" i have never been stupid enough to click your stupid ads anyway, and if you want me to pay to read your ***** blog i wouldnt bother =]
- cyssero, on 04/18/2009, -0/+1Is there a way to make Adblock Plus load the ads, but block them after loading them? So my visit still counts but I actually don't see the ads? Any extension that will do that for FF?
I don't mind loading the ads, I just don't want to see them. Has to be a way to load them but not show 'em.. - thesehands, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thery still hid who the ads were by though- the banner hides the word google...
- tvblogcan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Woo I can think what ever I want.. Ads by Jesus.. no Ads by Satan.. Oh look I put adverts on my site, everyone go over and look at them!
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Thank you SeaMonkey and Adblock extension (with fgupdater). :)
- PayneX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The irony is, despite being dugg, nobody is making anything from the ads in the screenshot.
- bluenile, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2http://www.imghut.net/images/29706.jpg
The ad unit is not displayed completely isn't that a violation of Adsense terms? Or Maybe its OK for bug players !!!! - sparkmonkeyz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2the ads are gone
- mercurysquad, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2"I guess they kissed and made up!"
