- janinekahn, on 09/23/2009, -0/+30Buy me, Google!
- StevieJanowski, on 09/23/2009, -0/+24can they just go ahead and buy my company already. thanks
- internetisscary, on 09/23/2009, -0/+19I bow to google, I google myself, therefore I bow to myself
- Turkman182, on 09/23/2009, -1/+19I, for one, welcome our Google overlords.
- inactive, on 09/23/2009, -0/+16Well with a response like that, I might just keep you.
- inactive, on 09/23/2009, -0/+16Can I buy you and then sell you to Google?
- parabola9, on 09/23/2009, -0/+15Pointless map is pointless.
- janinekahn, on 09/23/2009, -0/+14Yes, yes you may.
- inactive, on 09/23/2009, -4/+14again with this stupid ***** subway map style graph? And then they have the nerve to list it as a "quick glance" when the stupid way they picture it makes it take FAR longer to understnad than simply LISTING it?
- techfuture33, on 09/23/2009, -1/+10Pretty clever graphic. Thats a lot of acquisitions. Youtube was a pretty awesome acquisition I think.
- e2superman, on 09/23/2009, -2/+9Like a fancy MONOPOLY game. WHoa!! Did I say MONOPOLY?? :P
- Barackalypse, on 09/24/2009, -0/+6This trend of stupid visual graphics that actually make the information LESS accessible really really needs to die. Give me a decently formatted list and save all the colored lines that don't have any meaning.
- cubuffs155, on 09/23/2009, -0/+5What city's subway is this modeled after?
- StigNordas, on 09/23/2009, -0/+4Cool map, but it'd be cool if it showed the scale of the acquisitions as well.
- benboisdbest, on 09/23/2009, -0/+4Digg needs an infographic section
- JasonHaley, on 09/23/2009, -0/+4Yeah but some of those acquisitions were big RISKS. Woah-oh! Did I say RISK? I wouldn't want to start a software war.
- onefineline, on 09/23/2009, -0/+4That's true, however, it could be argued that the youtube acquisition was a defensive move to make sure no one (eg microsoft) else purchased it, even at the expense of not being profitable. The purpose of that? I'm not totally sure.
- UnFriendlyFire, on 09/23/2009, -0/+3It's the tubes!
- spunker202, on 09/23/2009, -0/+2In a couple of years we can clearly say : Google is the internet.
- JoeF8577, on 09/23/2009, -0/+2It looks like there's a penis in the graphic...
- undervalued, on 09/24/2009, -0/+2Googleton.
- Myztry, on 09/24/2009, -0/+2I'm a huge fan of Google. I'm not a huge fan of their acquisitions though. Buying pre-made packaged goods just doesn't seem that innovative to me. Unfortunately it's one of these necessary evils required due to the patent system where even the slightest of overlap on the best path over the mountain can lead to an IED like explosion. Patent bombs are just too easily planted and wide reaching.
- astorygirl, on 09/23/2009, -0/+2 It will be interesting to see exactly what types of companies they invest in, as it will give excellent windows into the high level workings and forward plans of upper level management at Google.

http://www.meettheboss.com/Images/google-acquisiti ... - inactive, on 09/23/2009, -3/+4By "awesome" do you mean spednding WAYYYYYY too much money on something that hasn't even come CLOSE to turning a profit yet, let alone enough of one to recoup the enormous price tag?
- geekomania, on 09/23/2009, -0/+1Well made graphic !
- Bulk70, on 09/23/2009, -0/+1I'll probably get dugg down, but to be picky: On2 Technologies should be on the video "line" not the social one, they specialise in video codecs and encoding systems.
True story. - urbanetruth, on 09/23/2009, -0/+1Google feels lucky
- niradg, on 09/23/2009, -0/+1It's a graphic, not an INFOGRAPHIC?
- WibWobble, on 09/23/2009, -0/+1Cool infographic, but I'm pretty sure some lines are the wrong color. Doubleclick's line should be advertising (not search), AOL should be search (not advertising), FeedBurner should be services (not news), etc...
- JasonHaley, on 09/23/2009, -0/+1You can find penises with Google, yes.
Moderation: OFF - jamc666, on 10/08/2009, -0/+1I wonder how Micro$oft's looks like ...
- antdude, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1Buy me first, Google!
- antdude, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1Which one is that?
- AndrewSaysHello, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1praise Google!
- svivian, on 09/29/2009, -0/+1Why is it clever? I'm not sure I get it - why is it like a Tube map?
- Homerr, on 09/24/2009, -0/+1AOL LOL
- Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 09/23/2009, -1/+1London me thinks.
