- twojay, on 12/09/2008, -1/+83To Do:
1. Stop wasting time on Gmail
2. Study - LordBathos, on 12/09/2008, -5/+77They would have done it sooner, but they didn't have it on their To-Do list.
- superdog87, on 12/09/2008, -2/+57Gmail has a awesome spam filter...
- EricOfTheJames, on 12/09/2008, -13/+57About time . .
- ChrisAlbon, on 12/09/2008, -1/+35I enjoyed the to-do item: "Write 20 blog posts"
Someone had a double shot of optimism today. - dtham, on 12/09/2008, -2/+29If there's a way to sync with Exchange that would be even better. Or if the freaking iPhone would work with task on Exchange...
I would be happy with either :) - bannonto, on 12/09/2008, -2/+28Gmail inbox=10

oh... btw I am a math teacher - inactive, on 12/09/2008, -1/+26"you mean we're not being bought out for 100million? wtf?" -Remember The Milk
- angers, on 12/09/2008, -0/+243. Stop wasting time commenting on Digg.
- kelchm, on 12/09/2008, -0/+22***** exams.
- kelchm, on 12/09/2008, -1/+19why is he being burried?
- Ellsass, on 12/09/2008, -1/+17Not really. RTM does a *lot* more. You can easily set due dates by typing in plain English: "buy milk tomorrow" adds a task called "buy milk" and automatically sets the due date to tomorrow, and you can do "get xmas gift for Dad next Friday at 6pm", "take out the trash every Thursday" and so on. It's incredibly easy to put things in the right place the first time without a lot of clicking and dragging around.
Plus RTM can optionally email, text, or IM you before a task is due to remind you. You can also get a daily summary each morning of what you need to do.
RTM has a great extension that integrates it with Gmail. The interface is miles ahead of Google's to-do list (and better than RTM's own site, IMO). http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/gmail/ - RafiParrr, on 12/09/2008, -0/+12Why doesn't it sync with Android? Better yet, why doesn't Android have any to-do list implementation? Why am I complaining about this to you guys? I'll stop now, sorry.
- threat42, on 12/09/2008, -0/+11When you go back to AOL, Tom Hanks.
- Aitese, on 12/09/2008, -0/+9Go to your email...hit More Actions>Add to Task. Done and done.
If you have keyboard shortcuts turned on, then from an open email hit SHIFT+T - megamod, on 12/09/2008, -0/+8*6. Megan Fox =P
- WiretapStudios, on 12/09/2008, -5/+134. ???
5. Profit - Aitese, on 12/09/2008, -0/+8Then...don't turn it on?
- Flappy3, on 12/09/2008, -3/+111. Make a list
2. Check it twice - Aitese, on 12/09/2008, -1/+9What's all this "finally" ***** as if Gmail's competitors have been offering this for ages?
- maxwashere, on 12/09/2008, -0/+7I love how this page has so few comments because everyone is on gmail, making a list of things to do.
- jordanlgta, on 12/09/2008, -1/+8I'm glad it's not there. I'm tired of seeing that every day somewhere on digg.
- Nonlinearity, on 12/09/2008, -1/+8Yay! I'm a total To Do List addict. I usually have two or three of them floating around at any given time. Since I keep gmail open almost always, this is going to be very useful for me. I <3 gmail!
- cirial, on 12/09/2008, -0/+7Now if they only had a Labs feature to get rid of the useless "Invite" box
- bagboyrebel, on 12/09/2008, -0/+6You could say the same thing about notepad and word processors. It's a matter of convenience.
- bigfatphony19, on 12/09/2008, -0/+6Just in time for finals week!
- eazhar, on 12/09/2008, -0/+6now add it to blackberry google sync
- DentThat, on 12/09/2008, -1/+6No more using a "Compose Mail" and saving it as a Draft everytime!
Who else did that for their To-Do lists? - Murdats, on 12/09/2008, -3/+8and how do i sync this lined paper with outlook and my phone? access that from my laptop or anywhere on the internet?
- Charklii, on 12/09/2008, -0/+5Would be nice if you could attach emails to certain tasks.. to save time. (So that "Fix this guy's website" would link to the email where he tells me his great ideas.. (basically asking me to revert the changes he made me do.. but it's his idea now so that's what counts?))
I still think I prefer my hotkey to open up a folder with to-do lists for each of my current tasks though.. - symbiot, on 12/09/2008, -2/+7Good job finally adding that to-do list... to the wrong application. This would be a killer addition to the Google calendar.
- kelchm, on 12/09/2008, -0/+4Things still has some usability issues imo.
I'm sure it will get better by the time it is officially released. - inactive, on 12/09/2008, -0/+4Now if only they could give apps customers some of the labs tools
- honeybrass, on 12/09/2008, -10/+14To Do List
1. Make a to do list ... done
2. ???
3. ???
4. ??? - ichigosama, on 12/09/2008, -0/+4just like almost everything else google does, never really thought i 'needed' it, but its nice and we'll see if "I" use it or not, and if the "public" uses it or not, but looks nice and clean and pretty simple, should work out well for all involved
- theshizzler, on 12/09/2008, -0/+4We hold them to a higher standard.
- d0nkeyBOB, on 12/09/2008, -0/+4you should have the word "Tasks" under the "Contacts" link. . . if not . . .sorry about your luck
- pmuessig, on 12/09/2008, -0/+4I saved my own gmail name as "To Do"<email+todo@gmail.com> and whenever I received an email from that email address, it would remove it from the inbox and autofile it into a "To Do" label.
I think I saw it on lifehacker a few years ago and I've (ab)used it ever since. - axiomata, on 12/09/2008, -1/+5Not that impressed. I prefer that my to do list, be it online or on a post it note on my desk, is always visible as a constant reminder of how bad I procrastinate.
It would be better if it had an option to always be displayed on the left or right sides like the calendar or quick links tool.
Like the Remember the Milk add-on, only more minimalistic by default: http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/gmail/ - Charklii, on 12/09/2008, -0/+4Well would you look at that! :o I didn't even think to look up there >_< And the shortcut shift+T is potentially very useful.. suddenly I'm a whole lot more excited about this :P Thanks guys..
- ZMerlin, on 12/09/2008, -1/+5Wheee! I was waiting for this feature, and I didn't want to sign up to RTM....
- krc1, on 12/09/2008, -1/+5You can. Enable it and "More Actions" at the top of emails now includes "add to tasks".
- shotgunefx, on 12/09/2008, -0/+3This is one of the biggest features I've been missing. I usually use TODO and completed TODO labels but floating them at the top is a PITA sometimes.
- angrykeyboarder, on 12/09/2008, -1/+4It sucks when the first submitted story gets ignored isn't it. Been there. Done that.
- Neo139, on 12/09/2008, -0/+3You know when someone is talking ***** when he has more 'Comments' than 'Duggs'.

(I don't because I'm a renegade, and like to see what I can get away with at work, but I digress...) 50% of the emails I hear people giving, if not a little more, are gmail accounts. Believe it or not jerry, the turbotrons and computers aren't exactly a 'subculture'.
- mojonandha, on 12/09/2008, -0/+3i did i did and i have like 640 drafts.
