RIAA Claims Ownership of All Artist Royalties For Internet Radio
http://slashdot.org/articles/07/04/29/0335224.shtm ...
"With the furor over the impending rate hike for Internet radio stations, wouldn't a good solution be for streaming internet stations to simply not play RIAA-affiliated labels' music and focus on independent artists? Sounds good, except that the RIAA's affiliate organization SoundExchange claims it has the right to collect royalties for any artist, no matter if they have signed with an RIAA label or not. 'SoundExchange (the RIAA) considers any digital performance of a song as falling under their compulsory license. If any artist records a song, SoundExchange has the right to collect royalties for its performance on Internet radio. Artists can offer to download their music for free, but they cannot offer their songs to Internet radio for free ... So how it works is that SoundExchange collects money through compulsory royalties from Webcasters and holds onto the money. If a label or artist wants their share of the money, they must become a member of SoundExchange and pay a fee to collect their royalties.'"

- PeppermintPig, on 08/08/2009, -0/+7EDIT: Oh, you deleted your comment??
The song is Kilgary Mountain, which is a variation of Whiskey in the Jar. It's changed almost as many times as it's been sung, and it's been around long before Thin Lizzy (great a band as they are) did it.
Same goes for Metallica doing Whiskey in the Jar, and I've seen idiots say 'hey, isn't this that Metallica Song?'. LOL
Whack fol is lyrical filler, and there are different audible interpretations penned to paper. That's to say there's no wrong way about it in that part of the song. - iPwnN00bs, on 08/08/2009, -0/+5Dugg for SP reference :)

- elenaadamscom, on 08/08/2009, -10/+6Alright, I'm going to explain something, so pay attention.
The phrase, "begs the question" should NEVER be followed by a question.
"Begs the question" is a philosophical term that refers to a kind of circular argument. For instance, saying "God exists because the Bible says so", begs the question since the answer ("the Bible says so") assumes the question ("God exists") without an independent source.
Need alternative phrases? Try "demands the question" or "forces us to ask".
Now, go do 100 lines. I'll wait. - inactive, on 08/08/2009, -5/+1Yoou mean the people like you who feel ENTITLED to own everything that you want without paying for it?
- inactive, on 08/08/2009, -6/+0At last you ADMIT that you are a cheap piece of crap. Most people on Digg try to justify it, and claim that if only some site would give a reasonable payment system they would do it.

What is Digg?
