Just know that it is NOT about number of diggs. It is not just about how QUICKLY the diggs come in. There are more factors than you want to think of. Chances are, there is a time of submission factor. So if a submission gets 25 diggs at 4:00 AM it will have a better chance of getting the front page than one that gets 25 diggs at noon.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Here is what this guy doesn't realize. He sees the success of the Million Dollar Web Page and mistakenly beleives if got that big due to internet word of moth. It didn't. I would still bet any money that most of the early ads were plants. It wasn't until he got on mainstream TV/media sites where the real success started. Obviously, this guy is NOT going to get on mainstream media with this site. Therefore, he wil not get anywhere near the required hits.
It is just stupid anyway. Do you people really have THAT little experience in dealing with women? She is either willing to have a threesome or she is not. If she is willing to have it, she will do it whether the "bet" is won or not. IF she does not want to do it, she will NOT do it even if this page gets 2 million hits a DAY. When girls make sexual bets, it ALWAYUS means they are either willing to do it anyway, or they wil not do it no matter what happens with the bet. And, if the guy bugs her enough to the point where she goes along with it I hope he plans on looking for another girlfriend afterwards, because it WILL be the end of the relationship. The other thing that is funny is all you freaking overly emotional comment posters who are pissed by this. If it was SPAM, he wouldn't have needed Game Fly to host for him because he would have been ready for the 'digg effect' but, he wasn't. Supposedly at least.
Laugh about it and move along. - curtissthompson, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6the number of diggs isn't the only determinate in getting a front page story, it involves the number of diggs comparitive to the frequency of diggs, or rating of digging, the time after submission, along with the category it falls under, and what/how much reports it gets for things like "spam", etc. This is only a bit of what is factored into their algorithms that they keep secret for obvious reason.
I hope if they don't already, factor in the number of submissions available under digg.com/diggall and the number of users actively digging, the time of day and things like that as well, during the time in which stories are submitted into their algorithms, as that is a significant factor!
