Not a bowl. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -19/+322I was expecting some sort of USB marijuana pipe :(

You better hold on to that girl.... she's your only chance of ever getting laid. - sydlexius, on 10/11/2007, -7/+146Who ever posted this failed to go to the School of Captain Obvious Story Descriptions (R)(TM). It's a pie plate, sheesh!
- cpbrown, on 10/11/2007, -9/+142eating this also made me feel slightly geeky: http://cpbrown.googlepages.com/DSCF3082Large.JPG
a pi-themed cake my girlfriend made :D i am a v v lucky guy
ps sorry for blurry photo .. i think she took it
:p sorry hehe - manifestdata, on 10/11/2007, -5/+83Everytime someones uses "the most ...EVER" in a story I punch puppies in the face. You have been warned.
- meshman, on 10/11/2007, -5/+73This is one of those items you look at and (perhaps) say "omg! I want one!". So you spend days scouring the web and you find one! It gets delivered, you open it up, freak out and tell all your friends... then you put it in a cupboard, never use it and forget about it until 2032 when you just toss it in the trash.

Pics of your "girlfriend" or she doesn't exist! - Scyth3, on 10/11/2007, -10/+69Would "mathy" be a better word of choice?
- cpbrown, on 10/11/2007, -5/+57@diggfight
i'm not insecure enough to have to put up a photo of me and her just to prove that i do indeed have a gf who is capable of baking amazing cakes (but if you really insist ... here you go: http://cpbrown.googlepages.com/meandemmaontubeSmall.jpg )
;) - ExSlashdotter, on 10/11/2007, -2/+48I think I had an 'i plate' around here somewhere...
::rumage::
Eh, maybe i was just imagining it... - zephc, on 10/11/2007, -2/+38In the grim, dystopian future of 2032, pie dishes are used as a basis for currency, so you better start stocking up.
No blood for pie plates! No blood for pie plates! - Th3_anOmoLy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+34Between this and god killing kittens due to masturbation, there very well may be a huge shortage of domestic animals in the near future.
- Gholas, on 10/11/2007, -2/+30If only the pie in it never ended...
- Scyth3, on 10/11/2007, -4/+31It's only relevant to me if there's an actual pie within my pi bowl...
Pie not being in the Pi bowl makes geek's sad :'( - Nerfdude, on 10/11/2007, -3/+29"see, because 'pi' sounds like 'pie'. and then around the edge here, that's the number that 'pi' represents. get it? ha ha ha.. what, you don't think that's so totally hilarious? c'mon, it's pie... but it's... PI! that's genius! ...why are you walking away? do you not want a slice of pie? i.. why do i have no friends?"
- thegenome, on 10/11/2007, -2/+26it was probably just too complex for you
- Daveecee, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23Methinks that mnemonic is not worth the trouble for only 20 decimal places.
- PixelVision, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23webmasterjoe
They tell you it's the pie dish, but really it's your personality that's alienating them. - MrMil, on 10/11/2007, -4/+23Huh?
Mathematical constants alienate women how exactly?
I think you've just alienated women more than any geeky pie plate ever could! - asaturn, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21that's sort of pointless if you can't GET women... if geeks can manage to get women into their places (willingly), I think a Pi plate is the least of their concerns. in fact, a girl seeing a clean plate might actually increase your odds...
- Akronos, on 10/11/2007, -3/+20How many suck ups will get this for their math teacher?
- MrSketch, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16Actually, I have a cat named Pi, so this will make the perfect food or water bowl for her.
- ledguitar, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14@mcraigw
I think it would be easier to memorize pi to 20 decimal places than try to memorize that sentence. - cpbrown, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13@sosgal721
it was baked (squareish) and then cut out .. and then covered in the most scrumptious chocolate *stuff* ever :D
good luck .. he'll love you forever :p - noahhoward, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10@cpbrown
I know that look in her eye... my sister-in-law has it. Your girlfriend is geekier than thou. - gamer_013, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10pi r'nt squared, pi r round.
cornbread r squared. - Bizarrkley, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10I want the bowl from Revenge of the Nerds with Betty Childs in it!
- Krusz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7the sad part is that I have more decimal places of pi memorized than fit on that bowl...
- sosgal721, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11@cpbrown
how did she make it?Did she get some type of stencil or just made one and cut it out?
my boyfriends birthday is on wed, and it sounds right up his ally (he's a stats major) - PremiumBitter, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5And that, my friend, is why I have to stay far, far away from www.thinkgeek.com!
- GTPilot, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10i study gorgeous, thin, firm pie every day.
- ohnnyj, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Found it here: http://www.signals.com/signals/Item_The-Pi-Dish_VC4603_ps_srm.html
Although I do wish they had a cereal bowl, I eat a lot more cereal than pie. - ninjathis, on 10/11/2007, -5/+9where is the number e plate?
- boituma, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4May I interest you in a Moebius plate?
- I_am_so_smrt, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Would go great with a slice of π.
- mcraigw, on 10/11/2007, -7/+10If you want to memorize pi to 20 decimal places, then memorize the rhyme that follows here -- count the number of letters in each word:
Sir I send a rhyme excelling in sacred truth and rigid spelling. Numerical sprites elucidate for me the lexicon's dull weight. - gimpbully, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4blatant false advertising headline.
- EricJD, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Hey, I have one of those.
I used it for my pie on Pi day last March. - ArmandoM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2All except for the "..." at the end of the number
Oh, and the first few digits being colored in red. - ubuwalker31, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3@bossy (#6678311)
I suck at math too, but I keep on practicing. - adrenaline33, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Ya remembering 20 digits isn't all that hard its the same as a few phone numbers
- Th3_anOmoLy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+6I'd throw in a few instances of coming across the bowl during extensive cleaning or moving. Each time I would realize how useless it was to own the bowl, but wouldn't throw it out because it was cool and I went through so much trouble to get it.
Then in 2032 I would think "Yea, it's cool, but seriously why the hell do I still have this?".... then toss it in the trash - digitalMessiah, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I bought this for my finance last xmas and she thought it was great. She is a teacher and takes it into her classroom when they get into the match section in pi. The kids get a laugh out of it and it helps them understand. Plus its also total geek equipment that I can get away with buying as a gift.
- felesaerius, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5the real question is... where do you get it?
- sosgal721, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3here is where it is... i think...
http://www.whatonearthcatalog.com/whatonearth/Item_The-Pi-Dish_VC4603_ps_srm.html - sharigan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2mmmm, this is great with my alphabet cereal!
- UltraPope, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2@ohnnyj:
DO NOT BUY THAT CLOCK!
I have one just like it I was given at my birthday last year. I couldn't have it on in my apartment, as it would keep me up at night. I couldn't have it in my office, as it would anny the ***** hell out of me. I stuck it in a window in my server room, which is still noisy from the outside, but the server room faces a hallway... So no biggie. Damn, it's noisy. I thought it was aweXome when I unpacked it, but the noise drove me up the wall. - Meheren, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This is soo cool. I wish I could have one!
