- Bromskloss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wanna tag my kids, my wife, and I even think I'll put one under my skin on my forehead or my hand!

RFID is so big that it is difficult to keep on top of how often in daily life one encounters it. RFID tags can be inserted under the skin without one's knowledge.
RFID tags are often in many of the products you buy, and their usefulness does not expire when you pass the electronic gates of the retail outlet that ensures you are not a shoplifter.
Do a Google. Lots of moneyed players think RFID has a future. - jks52086, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So would ADSX be the best bet in RFID stock?

hmmmm . . . . you seem to be in the minority. - shiftless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0RFID is a great idea for grocery stores to keep track of what is in stock but I think it's really stupid for things like credit cards, passports and the upcoming nation-wide RealID card
- bradp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'd be buying stock now...
ADSX, here we go! - malkdome, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i don't know about it being the "mark of the beast" but it will be a serious pain in the ass for those that like to not be in the system. it would also make it harder to sneak into work late, or sneak out early. would really suck if the home had scanners.. the Significant other could find out if your cheating on the diet...
- g30ph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pull down your pants and bend over, here comes big brother.
- tomaburque, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There are legitimate concerns about RFID in terms of the potential for getting your information scanned off you without your knowledge or permission. But all it takes is a little aluminum foil to block the scanning.
/me Folds his tinfoil hat... - swaxhog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Gartner doens't know its ass from a hole in the ground. If they were a shoe, they'd be a flip-flop.
- positron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How RFID wil compromise privacy, security, and freedom.

- SilverRocket, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I invested in some RFID stocks since 1997. They've grown a bit, but every year someone says "$2B or $3B by year so-and-so" and it never happens.
- spybreak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0alright I take it back
- MasterDwarf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0watch this company:

"hmmmmm ..... you seem to be an ass"
I was simply stating that it seems to be a popular area of technology regardless of possible drawbacks. But you can continue to common if you like. - spybreak, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0"hm ... see my story http://www.digg.com/technology/RFID_is_stupid"
