- the1casey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+54Still haven't recieved one I was supposed to get from Microsoft.... Maybe Audi will be more forthcoming.
- Nodren, on 10/12/2007, -0/+41the link isnt dead, someone made the mistake of putting a ending bracket after the link.
http://www.audicanada.ca/brochurerequest - Half-Fast, on 10/12/2007, -3/+36I'm still waiting on my thumb drive from Microsoft that was on the front page a while back. Probably a victim of "While supplies last". Oh well, got in on this one early.
- ChromeX1337, on 10/12/2007, -3/+30Please stop trying to act "tough" on the Internet, you're really making yourself look like a moron.
- HeatVision, on 10/12/2007, -2/+28Be sure to put in a bogus middle name, or misspell part of your name so that if they sell the list and you start receiving junk mail with the same typo or bogus name, you know who sold you out.
- Tony2Nice, on 10/12/2007, -9/+33Different folks, different diggs. The same people didn't bury you both.
- inuchance, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Phishing for addresses to mail to? Dude, you can do that wih a phonebook.
- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17Hey guy, you see that little "reply" link in the lower right corner of every post? Well, I suggest you use it.
- llynix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17I'm waiting on a MS thumb drive as well as Sun T-shirts. Shame they can't put a counter on the page or something when it's not valid.
- Drood, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Who cares? If Audi want to spam me with brochures, that's fine. My kid loves cars and will love them.
- Adrian, on 10/12/2007, -11/+23Awesome! (Canadian link actually over here: http://www.audicanada.ca/brochurerequest)
- Ralphy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13So... are you 12 or 13 years old?
- LordMaul, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Looks good. Though @ Tobey, I honestly still don't get why they would cancel orders from places like this. We're still individual people, still potential customers, and their product is still getting advertised as intended through this sort of thing. We'll even use the product they give us after we look at their ad spiel (in most cases). Why cancel on us? Makes little sense.
And samatarosman...you ARE a f@#&ing moron. Try getting a dictionary before you insult other members, it might hide the fact that you're a 100lb anorexic 13-year-old kid on his mom's Presario, switching between Digg and beating off to your imagined "popularity" from comments on your emo Myspace.com page. Your "snap your neck" comments are really quite hilarious, Mr. Internet Bruiser. You realize *no one* is, or ever will be afraid of you? Ever?
Maybe that's what makes you so bitter. - Genius16, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12i always wonder why a spammer can get 10 years but companies who send out unsolicited snail mail do it legally... OH RIGHT! the us postal service is government run and they make a profit off all that, since it is most of the mail sent out these days:)
- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11You really need to think before you post. How does saying that help us? It doesn't.
- generalleoff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Has anyone received the Microsoft one from a while back yet? Mine has yet to show up. I also never got my free copy of the US Constitution from the Bar Association from several months back. I also did not receive my Bawls drink sample from many many months ago and I did not abuse the offer and request 500 bottles like many did. These free things seem to be a bit flaky.
I did however receive my free watch and boonie hat from the US Army that was posted a while ago.
Anyway I requested this one and I hope it actually shows up. - freonchill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10sadly, i already get (not by any trickery of my own) spam mail in 3 variations of my name.
- Petrarch1603, on 10/12/2007, -5/+14Digg, Audi's my favorite car too.

Register your domain name at http://www.register.com - elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -15/+24The only explanation is that people are morons.
- Drood, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Go read the links ya *****' moron. They're quite clearly genuine Audi links. Even Netcraft agrees.
But if you want to miss out on a freebie by being paranoid, well, more for us... - syphonist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I've gotten every free sun shirt that I have requested. The longest it took was 3 months for the latest one I received.
- crass, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11"Hey guy, you see that little "reply" link in the lower right corner of every post? Well, I suggest you use it."
Or better yet... don't use it. Just quit commenting altogether. - Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Little tip, don't go from digg to the Audi site. They'll see digg.com as the referrer and probably just cancel your order. I'm pretty sure that's what Microsoft did to us.
Do what I did, open a new tab, and go to the brochure page through the Audi site index. http://www.audiusa.com/site_index That way, they'll never know you came from digg. - Ralphy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Does anyone really care if Audi knows where you live?
- inotocracy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8When your worried about these things, from reputable companies, just read the privacy policy:
"We will never sell your personal information to any other company."
You should be good. - quilasip, on 10/12/2007, -10/+17The "sold you out" you refer to happens when you give your name and address to every site on the net that might send you some free junk. Is it really worth risking getting your name on more mailing lists to get a free 32 Mb USB drive when 256 Mb USB drives are selling for around $30 CAD?
- crass, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Ralphy, are you kidding??? Do you know who you're messing with? This here's a legendary hacker, he can even commit virtual heinous crimes. He said so himself. You better watch what you say when you're talking to people of his... erm... stature.
- DannySpace, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Hey Thanks man, I can always use a free usb drive.
- Rice, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9I never got mine either.
- frontpage, on 10/12/2007, -7/+12Listen pal, you and all your kawaii pals from AOL need to quit saying "u" and "ur" in place of "you" and "your" immediately because it makes you so goddamn sloppy with your language that you say things like you will "bury *****." Ah well, go bury some *****, see if I care
- ManiacFive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so, I don't see why a comment should recieve so many minus diggs when all it does is say "LOL Great article" or similar. It might not be insightful, or constructive, but it doesn't hurt anyone. Offensive comments yes, Trolls and flames yes. But all this is is comment nazism.
No doubt this comment will get negative diggs because its not 'constructive' - petiejoe, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9I buried both because neither was constructive. (and I'd probably bury this comment, too)
- tw0bit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I wonder if you say i plan on purchasing NOW, if you'll get it sooner
- NeuralOverload, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Regarding the MS drives, i found this in another article.
http://www.microsoft.com/library/media/1033/windowsxp/images/mysterysolved/button_val_info_Gone_143x168.gif - psin2005, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9i havent gotten that either...anyone know what ever happened to that?
- Lazuli, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Looking down is right, especially on garbage night.
There are so many people who simply throw old computers away (especially people who know very little about them and browse the net without any protection) that it is unreal. In a small- to average-sized city you could probably make a good amount of side change simply by salvaging and fixing up old computers. In larger cities, it's possible to even support yourself though salvage.
If you live in or near a relatively affluent area, check the local schools after the school year ends.
If you live near any major businesses which have outdoor garbage collections, check their trash after the business quarters end for some good hauls.
It's actually a bit frightening what people throw away, nowadays, considering how much trouble there is with identity theft.
As for the article itself, a good post if you need/want a freebie. I personally don't, but I do hope that those who go for it will get it. - tysonwilliams, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4For Canadians link is: http://www.audicanada.ca/brochurerequest/
- anarchy99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4anyone notice they want a email (AKA use dodgeit) and the rest is stuff fond in any phonebook or website equivalent
is privacy really a concern here? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3No, it isn't.
- whalesalad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4VW > *
Technically, an Audi is a VW so.... woot! +Digg! - generalleoff, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Why was I not told Canada was the 51st state?
- snlildude87, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6it's the domino effect
- Empyrean, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10Oh NOES! He's gonna declar WAR!!!
MORON. - pgm_01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves for many things far worse than not sending SWAG, such as Windows Me.
- coheedcollapse, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4To all of those waiting for the MS one still - It said "Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery" It definitely hasn't hit that mark yet. The only reason i remember this is because i was thinking that if it actually would take that long, I'd be out of college and away from this address for the summer when it came.
I signed up for this one earlier today when I saw it on slickdeals. Cool find. Digital brochures are the way of the future. Seriously. Less pollution, more use to the person that's getting it, and as long as they don't use an online distribution method such as this, it's pretty cost effective if they're small. - daFilms, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6^ @quilasip
Since it looks like you're being buried... the answer is an obvious YES. - ShadowRider, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2PETA kills animals. Penn and Teller on ***** found that they spent $100,000 on a giant freezer to kill stray dogs and cats.
- yensed, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Unless you jump on it early.
- agarc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Regardless of whether people will receive their free flash drives or not, the marketing is working. The primary goal was likely to get people to go on the audiusa.com website to at least see the A3. Very clever, I think.
