- vdub12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Maybe they use some kind of adware to watch peoples web activity to classify there demographics. If you life in an area of high tech knowledge you might get a way off idea.
- xN8x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mine's pretty damn right. All old farmers with a highschool education.
Ethnic Diversity: Mostly White
Family Types: Mix
Age Ranges: 35-64
Education Levels: High School
Employment Levels: Blue-Collar, Farm - xN8x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Like the old Andy Griffith show set in a quaint picturesque berg, Mayberry-ville harks back to an old-fashioned way of life. In these small towns, middle-class couples and families like to fish and hunt during the day, and stay home and watch TV at night. With lucrative blue-collar jobs and moderately priced housing, residents use their discretionary cash to purchase boats, campers, motorcycles and pickup trucks."
^That + tons of drugs and police (We have a 1 : 200 Police Officer to Person ratio) would sum it up perfectly... where's the edit feature???? - lico05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sounds like my 'hood
- dx2_spear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It just lists the freakin classifications for an area, but no the precentages...gotta pay for those...
but for the Zips of where I live and where I went to school they were dead on. Although they missed the demographic of the stupid people that layed on there horns until the drug dealer left his house to sell to them right across from our rented house. - mpeters13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The website is slow ass, and the demographics are quite stereotypical. Screw this crap.
- dx2_spear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For the record the Zip was 12601. Poughkeepsie, NY.
- Smarterdanu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah...cause you wouldn't want too many of some kinds of people....
- Vill4no, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was offended by their view of minority stereotypes.
- Th3_anOmoLy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Was right on for my zip code
- drifter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It was quite right for my old zipcode it said it was overall wealthy. Which it was the majority of people in the area were wealthy. But there was a very small "ghetto" and such but i think it got it pretty well. It probably see's the price of houses what people do etc.
- djspike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0quite acurate for my Zip. somone should hack this to be used w/Google Maps or Google Earth.
- Pile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0With all due respect, I live in an area that is very clearly demographically defined and the results of this survey were WAY OFF. It's obvious this information is bogus. It reminds me of a horoscope where they select common descriptives that are scientifically designed to appeal to those reading. I don't see anything scientific about this.
- wvstephens, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0well according to this, since I live on a 2 lane road all the people in my town feed their children by hunting, fishing and farming. And we all sleep in Mobile Homes.
- PacoBell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@iyazell: O/T: Any particular reason you chose to capitalize the first letter of every word in your first post?
- Funman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This was spot on for the 3 zip codes I tried, including my own
- MacMan88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0pretty accurate for the past 3 cities i've lived in my whole entire life...
- MrPaulAR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why not just use http://factfinder.census.gov
- Darkjedi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Or just look up your county on Wikipedia.
