Their site offers no innovation, no creative investment and very little overhead. They are taking money from the companies and artists that create the works they give away for free.

I haven't heard that the raids were illegal or anything and they are providing a means to access known copyrighted material in addition to whatever legal stuff is there. I'm all for torrent technology and I might have done some downloading in my time but I don't see where they'd have a leg to stand on in a trial.
