- hbyrne, on 11/19/2008, -1/+11Like it. Hope their expansion gives broader coverage outside of hipster zones in the city.
- jerryjamesstone, on 11/19/2008, -1/+10Yah, I really hope this takes off.

- JustinAiken, on 11/20/2008, -0/+4That's not a location near me! Digg lied!
- whereisben, on 11/19/2008, -1/+5my reaction to stuff like this is..."there must be a catch??"...maybe things like this are starting to happen--catch free!
Now that's freedom I can believe in. - Ymeg, on 11/19/2008, -0/+4I really love security risks.
- chibichibie, on 11/20/2008, -0/+4This really seems to be the way to go~ think green!!!
Implement green ideas in what people often use, and then hopefully see the rewarding results and continue with the green efforts!!! - BillyB, on 11/19/2008, -1/+4This is awesome -- I was pretty impressed when they were able to get internet access over cable TV lines. But now they're using SOLAR? Sweet!!!
- ProKid, on 11/19/2008, -1/+4The picture seems to be using google maps to point out where they're boxes are located. How can I do a search of my own like that for my area? Also I understand the concept of mesh boxes, but where is the internet originating from?
- prefixmag, on 11/19/2008, -1/+4I wonder how fast the connections will be? Either way this is great news!
- CRBinSF, on 11/19/2008, -1/+3This is interesting news - something to definitely keep an eye on. A solar powered wifi solution could bring the internet to out of the way areas in states where there is less of a push to provide DSL to rural customers (like my home state). For those people that are still on dial up because there isn't another alternative (unless you count Hughes-net, which I think is the satellite option), this could finally bring them faster access.
