- angedinoir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Sorta free, anyhow:
"RAR Password Cracker 4.xx is shareware. You may download free evaluation version of the software. The software may be used and evaluated free of charge and without time limit. However, if you wish to use RAR Password Cracker without limitations of free evaluation version, you must purchase the license."
Besides that, it's brute force cracking. Unless someone used a lame password, you're not getting in. - Laughingman234, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think they have a free one on download.com too, I used one a while back cause my friend said I couldnt do it...took 2 weeks but I got in, just some hot pics of a chick he knew but it was awesome to see his face :)
- dude3609, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yea free my ass.
You can try part of it out. Not all of it. Therfore, the program in general is not free. - Smart3li, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Not Free ... Not Good .. No Digg
- angedinoir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I need an immediate DoS. What's so bad about rar anyhow?

You are an idiot. RAR files have had better encryption than ZIP files (with an encrypted ZIP file you could still read the file names and archive comments) as well as better compression. While some of the latest ZIP versions *may* have corrected that, the ZIP files distributed on the net still have that problem. - pacman122, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Anything like this for a mac?
- Acthulius, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Isn't it funny that the compressed version is .ZIP?
- Chosenone2die4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2THIS WILL DISCOURAGE YOU TO TRY WINRAR PASSWORD CRACKER IF PASSWORD IS TOO LONG

& ponctuation - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2imo, these things are useless unless the password is lame...
and usually, those torrent sites have atleast 10character passwords...you can forget about brute forcing them... - Chosenone2die4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2AND IF YOU HAVE TIME TO WASTE...

GOOD LUCK! - robche, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1anyone no of a pdf cracker? would be VERY handy
- JohnH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Further, angedinoir, it also offers "low-cost," temporary, "rental" registrations. Oy.
I might get flamed for saying this, but here goes: the ancient origins of the perception that it was a good idea to use computers to work against their owners in all those DRM scemes was in the concept that shareware locking mechanisms were just. - tomakun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Since this only uses brute force methods, it seems like it would take less time to create a fake hotmail account and register with a tracker to get the password.
Oh yeah and they charge you up the ass for it. - timewarrior, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Evaluation version has many limitations.
No Digg. - FishEye, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's not Free.
He probably want to promote his own ***** program.
No Digg - Postoasted, on 10/16/2007, -0/+1If the password is more than 5 characters long it's going to take forever to crack.
- cbdgr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this should be undre software to
- anjinash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes, what's so bad about RAR? It's much better than ZIP... and I've never gotten a significant improvement with 7zip to warrant switching over to that.
- Ninj4pirat3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Any fully free rar password crackers?
- timewarrior, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And this is not free.I tried a simple password and it could not crack it.
- misterpinkey, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0I use Advanced Passware Kit Enterprise Edition to crack most passwords.
- lilricky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You mean a crippled, useless for any password over 8 characters, and generally sucky rar cracker for the mac? Yeah, Im sure you can find one like that.
- timewarrior, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This software should not be used for password protected files you download from the internet. You can just go the the website and register and they will have the password. However if you have an archive you forgot the password but is very important and unique then this is for you,but remember good passwords will be tough to crack and it may take a while.
- EyeDye, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0bugmenot.com
- Rhomboid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Lame Lame Lame. Please don't digg ***** like this.
Not free. Not effective. This will takes months to crack anything but short passwords or anything that uses non-alphanumeric characters. If you hadn't been paying attention most RARs with passwords use the site name as the password, and those tend to be at least 10 characters and include the dot. So don't bother with bruteforce crackers, just go to where you got the torrent and look at the site name, or in the comments of the person who posted it. Most of the time you have to go to the original site where the torrent was first posted, not some indexing site where it was later copied. - mozami, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0evaluation free
no digg; - hydroment, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey! no *****. I didn't notice that till you mentioned it.
It's like MS using Linux servers for their important data. - moolcool, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OLD
- codeyman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0blah... they are plenty of these available. and am pretty sure that you will find a crack for it at andr.net
- Maajid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And anyone who locks a rar archive locks it to either promote his site or himself or something like that.. so when he locks it, the password won't be a random word off the English dictionary making this pretty much useless.
You could however use to see what you're little brother's been hiding in his locked archives. - SethX9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Astalavista is still up and viable...
- xLiKx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1evaluation version? no digg
btw, winrar owns winzip - timewarrior, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1"btw, winrar owns winzip"
good joke - PacoDG, on 11/10/2007, -3/+0Astalavista .. I ponder if that site still exists.
(Not that I need to check, as i have no doubts a quick search on a bit torrent site will find me this program with a crack included) - poipoipoi, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2DONT download RARs. And when you see them on a BitTorrent site, make rude comments. "RARs suck" is short and sweet.
