It's so much better than the other options. Easier to use than both GIMP and Photoshop and also not made by a company as annoying as Adobe.

- FyberOptic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've always liked PSP, but despite owning v8, I still tend to use v7 for a lot of things, since it still has tons of features, but loads in half the time. And it's rare that Photoshop ever has a feature I need that PSP can't do. v9 here seems to bridge any gap between the two even further.
Also, as for me declaring bs on the original url, it's because I've seen scams before where some dork just wants members on his forum, and when you sign up, you don't get what was advertised. I guess the admin of that place removed it for legal or bandwidth reasons. Though I assume this download is legal, since they're still letting people get it. - 6dust, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Installed fine, English version, no mentioning of "trial" anywhere, no asking for keys. Even ran the updater and got the lastest updates fine. Seems legit, but I'd still like to see something from Corel stating that it is free...

They don't stay in business from offering free software. Look at their main site, and all you'll see is download the free demo or purchase. You aren't s'posed to be able to get it for free, just because you found a link.
