Our stage is on the upper right where it says "taste of the conference".
See you there! - kevinrose, on 10/12/2007, -4/+148We are going to try and provide beer (21+). A backpack might be a good idea though.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+92Oh, great. A bunch of drunk diggers interrupting Steve as he's about to reveal "One More Thing"... sweet mother of mercy!
- thenativeraver, on 10/12/2007, -3/+38Free beer is good.
- mrblack, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27oi.. steve... is that a phone in your pocket or are you just pleased that digg members got free tickets?
- strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23"rediculous"
For the love of the flying spaghetti monster people... there is no "E" in "ridiculous".
Hooked on Phonics FTL. - chrisbudden, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22The list of tickets for this reminds me of how many different versions of Vista there is.
- fitzfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18You really think they were going to let all digg users into the keynote for free?
- HolyJaw, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18*****. Now it's gonna be hard to even get a bed at the local hostel...
I say we all crash at Kevin's place. - thenativeraver, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19# Exhibits Only Includes: 4 Day Exhibit Hall
# DOES NOT INCLUDE KEYNOTE - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15My school can go ***** themselves, I'm coming!
- MSTK, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16We should probably arrange something at a hotel nearby, like a Digg meet-up or afterparty or something.
- cinnix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Who wants to carpool me? Pick me up in UK if you can, drop me a line.
- drenader, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13CEO?

- strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Student
or just make some ***** up - gr00vy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Ok, in the south hall, what exactly is happening in booth 2712?
- computermatt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Kevin Rose, you are the man!
- drewman77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Apple doesn't run MacWorld - they are just a major participant. Or were you just spreading FUD?
- Lazrius, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13It's only to the exhibit hall, no keynote.
- icky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Just to clear up some confusion here...
MacWorld Expo is an industry event. It is not aimed toward individual fanboys. It is aimed toward folks in the corporate world who purchase large numbers of Macs and Mac related software and hardware. Like all of these other events in the PC world, the vendors all come together to show off their stuff with the hope of generating sales leads. If you attend, you'll notice that every booth is geared toward getting your contact information so they can add you to their mailing list and follow up with a sales call in the future.
This "free pass" is no big gift. Still, it can be useful for individuals with no connection to the industry. Note though that all you are getting is access to the show floor which is where all the vendor booths are. You won't have access to the keynote or any of the special sessions which is where the real interesting stuff happens. Some folks who like to collect squishy balls and pens and frisbees enjoy the show floor because they give away a lot of garbage. If that's your thing, go crazy. I've noticed in recent years though at these kind of events that the salespeople at the booths are trying to screen more and more so they spend all of their time talking to industry people that might actually buy their stuff instead of individuals who are just interested. - ZippidyDoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9If I wasn't stuck in texas i'd be there!
- rodrigomuniz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10OMG, you need a comma, a mac and a girlfriend too
- cube5, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9now that i own a mac i really wished i lived in san francisco!
Mac user and loving it! - Dolomite, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Thanks, but without the Keynote pass, its kinda like a bottle of non-alchoholic beer.... looks and smells like Macworld, but it just does't have the same kick.
- ReBeLaCe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Im stuck and texas and I am going to be there.
- amandaw33, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8sounds like a sausage fest... :)
- hyperpasta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6For the past few years, Apple has not offered any sort of a live stream for its keynote presentations. Either you attend MacWorld in person, or you wait until later in the day, when Apple will post a video of the keynote to its website.
If you would like live updates from the keynote, your best option is a website called MacRumors. During keynotes, they replace their website with an AJAX-based feed that refreshes automatically. By using AJAX, they are able to dramatically reduce the load on their servers, and updates always come on time. This year, they intend to add photos to the live feed. I strongly recommend it. - SniperX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"Ok, in the south hall, what exactly is happening in booth 2712?" - gr00vy
ROFL, "Circus Ponies" - jicon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Hold on here... did Apple do this in respect for the amount of Diggers appreciative of Apple, or was this done with a caveat that Kevin doesn't leak product details before the keynote?
- Mudger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7someone should organize something (hotel, after party)... lol
It would be a cornucopia of nerds, mac lovers and dig-ers alike.
Yes I can just smell the Old Spice and Di Gio now...
seriously though, it would be fun. - digger_twit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5...and also for "Company?"
- Wawert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I just made up some *****.
- Nerfdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4i'll be there. i've been looking for an excuse to go back to SF since the Rev3 relaunch party anyway :D
- AriaStar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Damn I love living in the Bay Area. Almost all the cool ***** happens around here.
- mrblack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5but I live in the UK :( Alas do they have special stream of the keynotes?
- dlprager, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4For the Jobs keynote at most macworld expos at Moscone Center in SF, they usually have overflow rooms with closed circuit TV feeds of the live keynote speech. I'm not sure if exhibits only passes provide access to these overflow rooms or not.
Last year was the first year in some time that a live feed was not provided:
http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=815 - Rigbymatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Steve's is always put up on apple.com about 3 or so hours after it happens.
- lpmusix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Nothing says Apple is offering this. IIRC macworld is run by another company.
- THeine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3w00t! So glad I'm going to school in San Jose....I've been wanting to be at this expo for years! Hooray for free stuff!
See you guys there ;) - kawazu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Well, unfortunately it seems anyone in the middle of the country gets screwed for these things. It's either east coast or (primarily) west coast, and I live smack dab in the middle... I'd love to go, but I just don't have the means to trek to Frisco at the moment... I'll be there in spirit.
- Warpling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Sounds awesome, tried to see you guys in San Diego (live 2 blocks from the bar), but was not allowed in. (16) >___<
Is there a reason MacWorld is on the week days?!
Might have to ditch school.... :P - FrankHowley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I would love to go if it were located in LA or San Diego.
D: - MachBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3nice perq! although i won't be availing myself -- have you read the privacy polict that applies to your sign-up (http://www.macworldexpo.com/live/20/privacy)? you're granting the right to be called and to be spammed not only by the event planner but by third parties. your information may also be passed along to others as "property" of the organizers. come on, folks -- IDG doesn't want your attendance; it wants your personal data!
