- jawdog, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9One thing to say to Fox.... "Booo-urns!"
- LordJezo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I would prefer being forced to watch a bunch of spots before the show started instead of having to watch ads in the middle of the show like the way things are now.
Heck, I'd even go for some ads at the start and then a break in the middle. If they make us watch ads online like the way they do on TV now then it's going to suck. Hopefully they'll adapt things to the online world. If they do change they way they feed us ads then I'll just get lazy when it comes to getting torrents and watch them on their sites, ads and all. It would be great to have everything in one spot and not have to hunt things down, for that I'd sit through some ads. - Splizxer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4You forgot Futurama.
- dibdidit, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5first step in the good direction!
but they should force us to watch a 30 sec pub before download! - LaughingMan11, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I will never forgive Fox for what they did to Firefly. So many horrible shows on that network, and they manage to let go the good stuff like Firefly, Arrested Development, etc etc...
And with this new internet TV rerun thing, I'm sure that won't include Firefly... look to Sci-Fi for those.
Booo Fox. - eurotransient, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Married With Children ran for like 10 years. Of all the things to fault Fox for, MWC is not one of them.
- Phoenixfury, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I was just thinking a few days ago that Fox needed to do this. Some how my MCE2005 box somehow missed recording AI as they preformed songs by Queen. Needless to say I was pretty upset. My only other option would have been to bit torrent it, but I have ethical problems with that. Had Fox already offered this service, I would have gladly paid.
- webcrumb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"The formula is complex, but stations essentially will get a 12.5 percent cut after costs, the paper also reported."
So I take it the reruns will come complete with adverts? And if they turn seeking within the file off, or stream the file, they'll be unskippable. - SamboGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes! I'm a big Simpsons fan. I'll only be excited about this if the Simpsons it up there. Digg
- jrbrubaker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Simpsons?
- ImpactedColon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1and Wonderfalls
- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1For the record, a Futurama movie is not being made.

It sucks (I met Billy West at Mega Con this past year, and he said it himself, sad stuff).
The Tick live action series, not as good as the cartoon, but I still liked it. - jim0bob, on 03/06/2008, -0/+0More and more TV stations are putting content on the internet. You can find a full list of them at http://www.watchonbroadband.com
- yensed, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5Umm, so maybe Re-Runs of 24? Or older shows?
- copiloto, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Yes, it is not a perfect solution by any means. But it is a start, isn't it? The TV companies were the most reluctant of all (along with the movie studios) to put shows online. But when they realized the money was good...
- strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Jack Bauer is here!
- ajwillys, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This is the end of productivity as we know it.
- surfing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like last weeks episode where they out sourced the plant to India... Good stuff. I would like to watch that at work.
- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -13/+13"The reruns will include wonderful DRM technology as well as being of extreme crappy quality to compare to that of most YouTube videos. While taking notice of all the major motion picture studios pratice of online distribution as of late, they will price episodes at only $20 more than however much it costs to buy the dvd sets of the same tv episodes"
And now, back to Bit Torrent. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Fox putting TV reruns on the Internet"
Not if President Palmer has anything to say about it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So... will this be offered as a free service with ads? Or more iTunes pay to view *****?
- willmaxx, on 12/12/2007, -0/+0After testing various TV software and visiting loads of sites. most of them offer a free trial or preview
and then they make you pay to sign up, or are cluttered with ads. I think that is ridiculous... so ive
done my research and have found a couple of really decent sites. The first one Id like to draw your
attention to is (viewmy.tv) This site has almost 1300 channels from around the globe and counting. it is
free to register and they dont ask for stupid details, just your username and email address. It actually
streams live channels so you dont have to download any and they have a pretty easy way of finding the
channel you want. You can search through genre, country, region or name of the channel. oh and there are
no ads either. Check this one out. With over 1300 channels from hundreds of countries, loads of features
like channel rating, user recommendations, live chat, profile pages and much much more. - msquared, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Unfortunately this won’t go into effect in time for me to see a rerun of the April 10th episode (of 24)... It seems they are trying to torture me.
- Liotius, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1If they do it like AOL did with In2TV it might be okay... Man I hate to even say that AOL did something even "okay"
- haonanzhang, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I hope rerun Fastlane or at least release it on DVD. I actually thought it was a pretty cool show.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0And Party Of Five. Mathew Fox should be contractually kidnapped from Lost and be forced to shoot more Party of Five episodes. And then there's Lacey, oh yes, Lacey.
- patrickweber, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1lol, that's the first thing that came to mind.
And why does yensed's comment get modded down? - dwgranth, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1heh, the reason that your userid is giving a favorable review of AOL's service is because you have been 0wned by the AOL video robot.....
*adjusts tinfoil hat* - outz, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2and Married with children
- sigma419, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Excellent! Hopefully this'll kick off soon, I'm missing 24 this Monday...
- disgust, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0the money may not neccessarily be good. just because there are people buying things doesn't mean there's profit. a lot of mp3/music pay-for-download sites have huge problems financially. something that offers 30 minute, or hour long video is going to have even more expenses, given the amount of bandwidth used.
