Former Teen Cheerleader Defies RIAA on File Sharing Lawsuit

blog.wired.com — Former cheerleader Whitney Harper admits downloading pirated music from her San Antonio, Texas family's computer years ago, when she was barely in high school. She just doesn't think think she should pay $7,400 for it today. "I would do homework on that computer and listen to music. I didn't know I was stealing or distributing it."

So why should these record companies be allowed to keep getting richer? We should be able to download whatever we want off the internet. Those companies should only be able to go after the sites that offer these FREE downloads/uploads, not the general public that's just trying to get by in this ***** up economy..

    I feel a little better now...;)
