- DonnEdwards, on 07/11/2008, -0/+2The simplest solution for me was to install HotSpot Shield (www.hotspotshield.com) which bypasses my local ISP's (Broken) transparent proxy and fixed the problem. Any similar product should also work.

At first i tried installing new flash player to get it working but that just made the problem a little stranger.. instead of showing the video not available instead it stopped showing the black screen altogether... but the simple solution:
Just go on to the adoble flash player page.. uninstall it using there program that they have..
and reinstall the new one.
Simple as that and it seems to work so far. - larrylemon, on 07/14/2008, -0/+0I do not have Google Web Accelerator. Also, Refreshing was not working. I found that one computer, on the same network, was able to view YouTube videos and another was not. So... I got to thinking about what was different? The one that was working just had a system restore ran the night before. (due to a non-related problem).
The solution to fix my problem was even simpler...
Using Internet Explorer...Under Tools...Internet Options...Advanced...click {Restore advanced settings}...AND...Click on the {Reset} button. IT WORKS Now! - larrylemon, on 07/15/2008, -0/+0I do not have Google Web Accelerator. Also, Refreshing was not working.
