I can't believe how many relevant, timely posts and articles and how may talented writers die for lack of Diggs every hour on the hour around here while this lame ***** gets submitted to the wrong section, is about nothing but HOW GREAT DIGG IS, yet rises to the front page with no effort at all thanks to Digg/Kevin Rose sycophants.

Seriously, get a clue: Ever since all the algorithm changes that were supposed to *prevent* gaming went into effect on Digg, you can't get an article to the front page unless you pull serious weight (i.e, you're deep within circle jerks comprised of top Diggers/submitters, which are actually *more* important to your success than ever). That's why they recently removed the list of top submitters from Digg, not to prevent gaming, but to conceal the fact that it goes on.
You can't make it here with no friends list (or a skinny one like mine), you can't make it without at least a few friends who have already made front page before you did, and you can't make it if you yourself don't Digg overwhelmingly popular articles *before* they ever make the front page of Digg. All of these things are taken into consideration to "weigh" how "important" your article submission is to Digg.
It didn't used to be this way. I made front page big-time once with no friends, no Digging history and no comments ever submitted to Digg. My profile was one huge, glaring blank, and I'd only been a member of Digg for one week when it happened. But that was one user name ago. My last article about Yahoo Pipes was dying gracefully, going unnoticed with 16 Diggs in 23 hours. Thats was until Kevin Rose dugg the article, and now it is on 666 Diggs. (its definitely a sign).

The number hails from the Greasemonkey Script he is using called "Digg Nested Comments," an amazing script that I use too, which allows him to reply to any person on the thread and includes their name and user ID # at the top of the reply.
I think user ID's are distacting, though -- only .00001 of diggers even know what they are -- so I usually edit them out before I reply to anyone. - sliljestrand, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11Wow.
