- MrJagil, on 07/19/2009, -2/+30This one time, on Kazaa, i tried to download an entire starwars movie. It took a few days and when i finally got it, it was a 60min porn flick. A bad one.
- Vdex42, on 07/19/2009, -2/+28From kazaa about page:
"For just $19.98/mo, you can download unlimited music files, and play those files on up to 3 PCs that you own. The subscription package is for PC only, which means that you won’t be able to play those files on a portable music player."
Wow, good luck! - klick37, on 07/19/2009, -1/+26I would totally use Kazaa.... If I wanted my computed flooded with offers for free horse porn.
- Pitak89, on 07/19/2009, -1/+23Oh man Kazaa sure is going to get a TON of business.
/s - lolwatermelon, on 07/19/2009, -1/+20The correct plural of "virus" is "viruses." Saying "virii" is pseudo-latin and just looks silly.

- roxgod666, on 07/19/2009, -0/+12How the hell is Limewire still so popular? Haven't people realized that the Pro version of Limewire is the free, basic version of Frostwire?
- kanojo1969, on 07/19/2009, -4/+14"But with bittorrent who (minus the pirate bay) will Kazaa changing their business model impact many?"
Jesus I hope English isn't your first language. What does that even mean? Apart from the mysterious 'who', even if you remove that, the sentence is a jumble of subjects, I can understand what you mean, but that's more a reflection on the miracle of the human brain in understanding.
"But with bittorrent so popular now, will many people be impacted when Kazaa changes their business model?"
That's a better way to do it, totally unambiguous, the subject is obvious in each part.
I'm not sure why this bothered me enough to post this, I'm not that guy, but it's 6am and I've been writing code all night, I'm stuck in a mental rut! - lolwatermelon, on 07/19/2009, -0/+10No, because it's not correct. The correct plural form of the word "Virus" is "Viruses."
From Wikipedia:
"The plural of virus is viruses. In reference to a computer virus, the plural is often believed to be virii or, less commonly, viri, but both forms are neologistic folk etymology[1] and no major dictionary recognizes them as alternative forms."
"Since vīrus in antiquity denoted something uncountable, it was a mass noun. Mass nouns — such as air, rice, and helpfulness in English — pluralize only under special circumstances, hence the non-existence of plural forms in the texts.[3]"
"In Latin vīrus is generally regarded as a neuter of the second declension, but neuter second declension nouns ending in -us (rather than -um) are so rare that there are no recorded plurals."
I'm going to take a guess and say that the Latin language has existed longer than phreaking, hacking and cracking industries. - CLAWC, on 07/19/2009, -1/+8Kazaa!? BAH HA HA HAHAHAH!
While we're at it, lets' just discuss Morpheus while we're at it. - po43292, on 07/19/2009, -2/+9This does not affect my life in any way.
- swordedge, on 07/19/2009, -0/+6an infect your computer service masquerading as a place to get songs for free.
- finferflu, on 07/19/2009, -0/+6LOL! That's ridiculous!
- statik99, on 11/03/2009, -1/+6Frankly... I appreciate blip.fm for the selection in music and music videos. Sketchy sometimes depending on the song, but a big selection at least.
- heathuff23, on 07/19/2009, -0/+4I don't know why you are getting dugg down...but I totally agree with you... I actually just clicked the link to see if anyone else was in the same boat I was in trying to figure out his mumbo jumbo....grab a paddle!
- viper001, on 07/19/2009, -1/+5What's the point? Almost no one remembers or cares about Kazaa anymore, and those that do see it as the cesspool of viruses and malware that it is. A new IP would have been much cheaper and easier to implement. Any bets on Limewire going down the same route in a few years?
- roxgod666, on 07/19/2009, -1/+5Next up: Morpheus
- emanpa68, on 07/19/2009, -1/+5Kazaa... what a laugh
- lolwatermelon, on 07/19/2009, -0/+3"if i edit wikipedia does that mean that you ar wrong?"
No, because the quotes in my above comment are good data. You can do your own research and confirm them if you'd like. - kaijunexus, on 07/19/2009, -1/+4"It took a few days and when i finally got it, it was a 60min porn flick."
FTW
"A bad one."
meh - sentinel106, on 07/20/2009, -0/+3Wow I haven't seen Ramzi since the first episode of The Broken came out years ago, dugg!
- MtheoryX, on 07/19/2009, -0/+3There was a recent study illustrating that unintelligent people generally join social sites and within two months simply cannot resist the urge to show the community how utterly stupid and worthless they really are.
In fact, it was proven that these people should be found in a dumpster behind a Planned Parenthood with a coat hanger sticking out of their head.

- AraleNorimaki, on 07/19/2009, -3/+5wtf is kazaa?
- MeccaYdna, on 07/20/2009, -0/+2Vi-rus-sees.....it works best when people pronounce it correctly, instead of saying virusses.
- zbeast, on 07/19/2009, -1/+2Kazaa and napster have gone down long ago.. all that remains is the name and
pack of people trying to use that name to get customers.
As for WinMx it's still up kind of. people are running there own servers there are also
other programs that support WinMX without having to use the WinMx client.
These day's people use Torrents, emule, limewire -frostwire and usenet.. - drewhoo, on 07/20/2009, -0/+1You forgot the question marks and "profit"... that would have gotten you dugg up.
- highPhone, on 07/20/2009, -0/+1if only when how his grammar was going here will doesn't afraid of anything.
- Domthedude001, on 07/19/2009, -0/+1Limewire already has (since they also have a "PRO" version) -- which is actually very interesting because Limewire is also open source.
- Joest23, on 07/20/2009, -0/+1That's my point. The only restrictions is that you have to sync your player once a month (Syncs every time you plug it in so that isn't even a concern) and that you have to use a Napster compatible player, and there is a great selection of MP3 players, phones, and PDAs to choose from.
http://home.napster.com/devices/compatible_devices ...
It's a really good value and for $5 a month, I get all of the music I'll ever need. And, I have a 1 hour commute to school everyday. That $5 is an unbelievably good deal. - Lithium19, on 07/20/2009, -0/+1I use Limewire from time to time, and have never gotten viruses from it. It's the people that download 26kb versions of songs that deserve to get the viruses and spyware that they get.
- CowGoesMooo, on 07/19/2009, -1/+2Kazaa sucked as a free service, who in their right mind is gonna pay for it?
- MtheoryX, on 07/19/2009, -0/+1how is babby formed??
- inactive, on 07/19/2009, -3/+4Why were you dugg down, Napster is actually a pretty good value. People whine and bitch about the RIAA yet for 15 a month you can listen to all the music you want, what cheap bastards have a problem with that, 10 years ago I would have KILLED to be able to listen to thousands of CD's for the price of 1.
- jedinate, on 07/19/2009, -1/+2Kazaa is still around? I had no idea...
- DeathfireD, on 07/19/2009, -0/+1It's still running even though the official site and server caches closed. Mostly used for chatting now.
- Praelior, on 07/20/2009, -0/+1Scour.net?
- rubyfilmz, on 07/20/2009, -0/+1Napster was great but sucks as paid service, kazaa was horrible as a free service wonder how bad it will be as a paid service
