- whatit, on 04/25/2009, -0/+23Oh no not frinrand!
- mcdeli, on 04/25/2009, -0/+20Finland rocks. Best phones, best network, best blondes, and Santa Claus lives here. And it is a lovely sunny day.

A 23 year-old male from Washington (US) who joined Digg on February 7th, 2008
If it was "US allocates new 4G mobile frequencies" he'd likely digg it. - SupremeLeaders, on 04/25/2009, -5/+20I'm glad the finnish could finish this.
- freakedguru, on 04/25/2009, -0/+15I was gonna say, American douchebag meets British Douchebag... but mister paulishuku just sealed the deal for America in douchebaggery.
Thanks. Go ***** yourself. - eldinb, on 04/25/2009, -0/+12Recently Tele2/Telenor said they've started 'their' own 4G network building (avail. 2010) in Sweden. So this move by TeliaSonera's (Swedish/Finnish company) was expected. Great for us Scandinavians. This will give us faster speeds, competing price plans and greater coverage. Next up is Norway/Denmark!
- karipatila, on 04/25/2009, -0/+12That one never gets old, does it?
- MetalMastodon, on 04/25/2009, -2/+11Hopefully it´ll come here to sweden soon! Cant wait!
- mface, on 04/25/2009, -1/+9I'm sure that referred to low corruption in Finland
- opique, on 04/25/2009, -1/+8First good thing I've ever heard from Suvi Lindën's mouth.
- Zique, on 04/25/2009, -0/+7Right now every provider in Finland offers 10 euros per month for unlimited 3g internet access, how's that too expensive?
- limbclock, on 04/25/2009, -0/+7i live in finland and i think it's great that we are already starting to build a proper Internet over Mobile phones network. I am, however, bit afraid of the prices, as i think they'll be too high for the average person to use.
- dsmx, on 04/25/2009, -1/+7But according to south park they're a bunch of squealers.
- Dotcommer, on 04/25/2009, -1/+6Oooh NoooOOOoo! Not a Fiiinlwiin!
- makkaveli19, on 04/25/2009, -0/+4i pay 30$ for 1 gig of use over sloooow rogers 3.5g ***** canada.
- ohreilly, on 04/25/2009, -0/+4I wonder when the UK will start handing out the necessary licences to allow 4G to happen.
Probably when we're not in a recession, so that the mobile operators can pay billions (not an exaggeration) for these licences, again. - sapo916, on 04/25/2009, -0/+4Are you confused? Everyone is on 3G at the moment, 4G deployment is barely in planning and initial stages. I'm sure there are some limited deployment exceptions but the general consensus doesn't have it.
- TheMagician2007, on 04/25/2009, -0/+3South Park reference...
- SensualPanda, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2oh look at you tough guy.
- Nephersir7, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2American phone/internet plans are very attractive compared to what we have in Canada.
- psibladeZX, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2I love how Europe is 10 years ahead of the US with cellular/mobile capabilities....
My sister who lives in London, got an iPhone for free (promotion), unlimited data/texting plan and 1000 minutes (she does NOT get charged for incoming calls/texts) for only 30 pounds (about 45 dollars)... here with ***** AT&T you pay 600 for the phone, and 100 a month, and of course, you get charged for incoming calls and texts... america is ***** when it comes to cell phones.
how can you get charged for something thats not your fault (i.e. someone sends you a text) - Edgers, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2Don't even have 3G where I am :(
- e68895f, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2She said this after strip-searching her employees.....
- makkaveli19, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2Nokia has been helping cellphone innovation for years now. they have always have been investing in phone technology alongside samsung and sony. Symbian is what it is now because of nokia(now full owner), full flash support is heavily supported by nokia. Now OLED screens have become nokia's screen of choice.
- Zique, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2wat
- choppa1890, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2if the prices are too high they won't be able to get much demand...so it is their choice on how they run their networks.
- miamicat, on 04/25/2009, -2/+4It sucks Finland got nuked.
- iliketurtles2, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1I'd love to be on that tariff, if it even exists. The nearest tariff to the one you describe is actually £44.05 per month, (1200 mins / 500 texts).
- ohreilly, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1That's why the iPhone has not been anywhere near as popular as it probably is in the US.
We're used to decent, full-featured open smartphones and the iPhone is a regression, really. In the US it probably looks rather good. - Pixelmator, on 04/25/2009, -1/+2Thaks, man! :)
- inactive, on 04/25/2009, -0/+0Er oh er!
- freepanda, on 04/24/2009, -4/+4Finally...
- inactive, on 04/25/2009, -2/+2At $,$$$,$$$ per kilobyte..
- inactive, on 04/25/2009, -1/+1yeah except in europe they pay 2x as much, and the USA is getting 4G already. you're out of the loop. 4G has been allocated, and verizon and AT&T are moving to LTE in 2010; up to 100mbps
- 11mdg11, on 04/25/2009, -1/+1Finrand Goan To Squeeeeel!
- arvvvs, on 04/25/2009, -3/+2We're still on 3G... We are soooooooo far behind
- jayrok, on 04/25/2009, -7/+5Excellent. Now far more drunken texts can be sent.
- HAL90000, on 04/25/2009, -6/+34G is already live in one major U.S. city (I forget which, but if you live there you probably already know) I believe. It's hitting several major cities by the end of the year, and even more by the end of 2010, for Sprint at least.
- inactive, on 04/25/2009, -9/+4Coming to the US in 2010 already, LTE is a big step forward. It also could mean a Verizon iPhone
- iDoraemon, on 04/25/2009, -9/+2Will I still be able to input 7 or 10 numbers on my mobile phone device in order to communicate with someone?
/goes back to using his laptop - DulcetTone, on 04/25/2009, -7/+0But I hardly ever want to talk to a Finn.
- DaRiz, on 04/25/2009, -10/+1For those who don't know, 4G is slower then 3G. :\
- mendeznoel20, on 04/25/2009, -11/+1this is more interesting..

An 18 year-old guy from UK (UK) who joined Digg on May 21st, 2008
If it was "Hot steamy man sex click here noW!!" he'd likely digg it. - paulishuku, on 04/25/2009, -31/+1Ok... and? Why is this on the front page? Seriously.

What is Digg?
