- mobilehavoc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I think the fact that there are so many apps out there with more being added illustrates how well the Facebook API works. I love the Flickr app which shows recent Flickr pics and I'm sure it's only a matter of time until it truly starts to become not just a social network but a internet agreggator for all your internet junk
- mozzep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2old people die. the young people who use it now will get older while the new young people will continue using facebook. in 20 years, things are going to be way different.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It seems weird and I really don't see how facebook could overcome google but if you look the Orkut example in Brazil you can get the closer idea of how that would be. In Brazil the people use Orkut to search almost any topic.
Google owns orkut but imagine other social networking site take that position on internet... - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Can someone please explain what the hell a "Facebook App" is? Wikipedia couldn't help.
- willierab, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Old people do not use Facebook, so I don't see how they could become the next Google.
- justinf951, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1There are maybe 5 "Facebook Apps" worth installing the rest are pure non-sense and people remove them within several days of adding them. How many Zombie/Ninja/Pirate/Douchebag apps do we need?
- mozzep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Seems a bit optimistic. Facebook and Google are in way different leagues by my estimation. but losing their status as the most powerful internet company is exactly the reason why Google buys everything. Unfortunately for them, Facebook held out.
