- Otto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6If you run a blog, I highly recommend looking for a sitemaps plugin for your blog. The plugin will generate the sitemap for you and ping google whenever you update your blog. This greatly increases your visibility in search results as well as reduces google's need to spider your site quite so often.

- nugget, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I knew about all of that except for 4 things. It does not have on there though the fact that you can look at its job postings, and you can get internships there too. They have lots more stuff that you can do.
- schwack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Definate digg , Now im contemplating building a system that uses nothing but all those Google tools. I know google desktop is a resource hog, but the idea of seeing how all of it works together on one box holds appeal. Not that I'm google freak, I just think their product offerings are impressive, not to mention free.

Well, I for one refuse to use Google- but I don't blame the people who do so don't flame me too bad please.
Here are the reasons that I refuse to use Google:
(1) If you are a webmaster and try to get client's sites into Google it is very unpredictable. I have had sites several hundred pages long with actual good honest content (concerning criminal law in case you're wondering) and I just could not get it in Google. And before you call me a retard, I have created *several hundred* sites over the years that have made it in Google's top 10. The only recourse if Google doesn't pick your site up is to go to the DMOZ, which they own. Well guess what, the DMOZ is run by "volunteers" read: a bunch of ***** with waay too much time on their hands who actually enjoy denying your site. You can beg, apologize, try to follow their rules and in many cases they will ***** with you. This one poor client has been waiting now OVER 1 YEAR for the DMOZ to include him in their directory of attorneys in Texas.
(2) Google disenfranchises. Think about it. In 20 years Google will own the majority of information available to people in the world. They will have all of the library books, a picture of you outside your house, what you searched for, what you bought, how often you buy, where you drive based on your map queries, what questions you asked, how literate you are, what schools you went to, your criminal records, the kinds of jobs you want, who you date, and how often. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE GOOGLE OWNS THE GOVERNMENT (although they will make it seem like it is "cool")
OK, I sure to get called a total idiot by all you, and that's OK. But we'll see on down the road if you get a knock on your door from your local Google representative....
Go ahead Flame away.
Just my 2 cents. Boycott Google!!!!! - vdxc, on 09/29/2008, -2/+1definitatly needs re-designing

- doherty, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Personally, I like using Google to the X-TREEEM. It markets better.
- iWasHere, on 10/12/2007, -9/+7Once again, this just shows how awesome Google is. Is there anyone out there that doesn't like them?

No need to joke :)
As a person who does in fact like MS I can honestly say that I hope... no, I expect them to keep a running list on what all their competetors are working on! - H2SO4, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Go to Google moon - zoom all the way in and it turns to cheese!
