- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -6/+90So fake, so ***** fake. Things sounded real untill people started using C4, uranium, and jet engines to kill their victims. This isn't Metal Gear Solid
- AttroPheed, on 10/12/2007, -2/+73*****.
http://www.snopes.com/humor/jokes/fbitop20.htm - Jarrett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10You aren't the only one. I am glad they are fake because me laughing at people dying would have been pretty bad. The funniest one for me was the "BOO!" one.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Is it wrong that I was laughing my ass off as I read this? Even if it's fake?
- damntaxes, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12Possibly worthy of best comment ever to be on Digg, I thank you.
- Slackwise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Yay, chain letters on Digg.
Digg has indeed struck a new low. The average IQ of Digg users seems to be rapidly dropping as popularity skyrockets. We need stricter administration of users; prior to user comment voting, comments were absolutely worthless. I mean, I tried to read them but all you got was things like "dugg" or "digg++" or "zomg, so cool!"
What's next...? "Digg this and have 5 of your friends digg this, and your wish will come true!!!" - bigpeeler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6But...but...it's on the Internet! It MUST be true! The article said "FBI" and I swear I saw some red letters on that page. I..I just don't know what to believe anymore.
- sarge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4fake? come on... everyone knows everything on the internet is true.... geez.....
- carebearwarrior, on 10/12/2007, -9/+13Snake? Snake? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE?
(Sorry, just had to.) - gbonham, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I thought that sounded a little excessive.
- haochi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3WTF, the first one is not murder. Do you even know what murder is???
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5> snopes
>> started using C4
Yeah... just how the hell do you "shape" +700kg of explosive (that Taurus would have been dragging ass) stuffed in the trunk?
If you know, please tell me so I can put it in a field manual. - DrDigg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4BTW rat poison is a blood thinner, so you would not collapse and die right away. You would bleed to death!
- yahoofrom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2A murderer who is also a famous scientist. Wow.
- Silencer7, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3a 55m deep crater.
what utter crap - Wolfghost, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Almost correct. The most recommended are blood thinners because of pet safety. There are dozens of popular rat poisons that are not. Rat poisons that contain vitamin D analogs, bromethalin, strychnine, and zinc phosphide are not anticoagulants.
- Waredgo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yep...pretty stupid and obviously a load of BS.
- rpn700, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Please don't encourage crap like this or digg will turn into Internet chain letter zone.
- TheBigBad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3So the FBI is putting out a Letterman-like homicide top 11 list? Total horsesh!t.
- Durrok, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4or people with a sense of humor...
- Author, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Now someone with barely any intelligence should be able to go through those and realize that something isn't right. Some people are so easy to fool. Look at the entries.
Reported this for inaccuracy. - zoltan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4i can not believe about half of those stories... they sound like i wrote them in 7th grade
- jrbrewin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4"and the use of Britishisms (such as 'tonne,' 'doctors surgery,' and 'kilometers' )"
snopes is usually reliable, but surely they realise we use miles in britain.. surely! not to mention the first definition entry for tonne on answers.com comes from the american heritage dictionaries. - Sukino, on 10/12/2007, -7/+8All those killers played (violent) video games for sure.
- blanski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hahahah definitely the funniest one was the Boo! one. hahahahah I nearly died myself from laughing so much. I wonder if I would've made it on next year's.
- Autrix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2half way through I decided it was fake, that stuff was all too intense to be missed on the news for the last year
- gbonham, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1obligatory bump.
- the_witch, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I don't care it is a fake, I had not seen it before and it made me laugh. So thanks. Digg.
- Chasuk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2gbonham: don't sweat it. Fake or not, it was funny. Thanks for the laugh.
- Legion303, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is so ***** retarded. From the very first story:
"Every year the FBI is asked to investigate over 36,000 Serious Crimes including Suspicious Deaths and Homicides. And the Homicide Investigations Unit puts out its Top 11 Homicides of that year.
1- Debby Mills-Newbroughton, 99 years old, was killed as she crossed the road. She was to turn 100 the next day, but crossing the road with her daughter to go to her own birthday party her wheel chair was hit by the truck delivering her birthday cake"
So the FBI is investigating homicides and just happened to put an accidental death at the top of their supposed list? OK, then.
"Who Dugg This"? Morons with no critical thinking skills, apparently. - MarshallFaulk28, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I thought I was reading story ideas for C.S.I.
- disruptor108, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Did anyone else notice that the title said Top 12 Deaths?
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2How the hell did this get on the front page?
Digg has just hit a new low - gbonham, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I believe it's an australian site. it has .au in the URL.
- whisperedlie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1any idiot knows that cars filled with explosives don't create craters; only airborne weapons do. come on, haven't you ever seen Clear and Present Danger?
- gbonham, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1after submitting this I also looked on the FBI's website and came up empty.
- Durrok, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Well, you helped by commenting on this article. More people who comment on it, more people who look at it and digg it. If you don't want it on the front page, don't comment on it and report it. (If it needs reported)
- timan72, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Fake okay, but a good laugh! Things funny as this will always get my diggs!
- Lemonblood, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Interesting but certainly fake.
- Fly1m1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This is false.....Funny though.....
- dopmwd, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Oh sure it's fake, but hell, at least it was an entertaining read, plus it gave me something to do for a couple of minutes at work. I'll digg it for chuckle value..
- KONTROL, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1tThis seems sso fake but, The one where the dude didn't pay rent was true. That ***** happened not too long ago in New York. I doubt the FBI made a list but it might be someone putting together there own list and making a few "new" one on the way.
- Osjpr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Omg the stupidity nearly killed me.
- headius, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You guys did notice it's on the site of a "Murder to Order" party game organizer, right? These are probably some of their most popular murder mysteries or somesuch.
- guillo98, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2In the inmortal words of Alex Albrecht.......are you kidding me? That's awesome!!
- mpeters13, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1#8 death by ford taurus ftw. Obviously fake, but funny nonetheless. The guys wife was already suffering by driving a ford taurus. Should've let her be. xD
- jguy584, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1To bad they're fake :(
But anyway i like #7 the most, true evil genius - zombydog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0These "murders" would have been investigated by municipal or state police. The FBI does not investigate murders unless it falls under Federal jurisdiction such as in Organized Crime, terrorism related or is a crime that crosses state lines.
Federal Bureau Of Investigation - What We Investigate. http://www.fbi.gov/hq.htm - masterjenkins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I didn't believe it for one second. Unbelievable information coming from the mouth of the FBI on an .au portal? BS.
- ByteGuerilla, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1jrbrewin,
You're right. Although snopes is hardly a pillar of accuracy, I would expect them to know we use miles, and I would expect them to know that tonne and ton are both used by both countries. -
