- geekchic, on 01/16/2008, -2/+30A business contact you haven't heard from for 5 years would like to check his contact details are correct so that Zombie biting can commence.
- herrshuster, on 01/16/2008, -0/+27CAPSLOCK IS a problem
- lordtyros, on 01/16/2008, -1/+26You're not missing out. Facebook is only fun if you have friends.
- Memnochxx, on 01/16/2008, -1/+19Not just Facebook, but FACEBOOK!
- jbrown101st, on 01/16/2008, -0/+14Thanks for the caps, it really helped me grasp the intensity of the title......
- gamebittk, on 01/16/2008, -1/+11What is Plaxo?
- vonskippy, on 01/16/2008, -1/+11So to recap, the Stupid is buying the Moronic.
- jspegele, on 01/16/2008, -0/+8like the people you're talking to on Digg . . .
- funkytaco, on 01/16/2008, -0/+6All I know is Plaxo saves info from AIM I don't want it to save. I uninstalled the new AIM because of it.
- thegreyfox, on 01/16/2008, -0/+6All UR CONTACTS BELONG TO US
- inactive, on 01/16/2008, -2/+8Following up saying something is 100% certain with "there are reasons to be skeptical" proves that this is nothing more than a guess.
- gmprunner, on 01/16/2008, -0/+5The difference is Zuckerberg doesn't know how to be a leader of any sort.
- funkdr, on 01/16/2008, -1/+6they've got some cash now from msft
- mannymix03, on 01/16/2008, -2/+7WOW THIS NEWS IS pretty cool i guess.
Seriously dude, what happened with the title? - Tralobyte, on 01/16/2008, -0/+4Kevin Rose: Damn! Why not us?
- josho, on 01/16/2008, -0/+4what the hell is your problem? think pissing your target audience off is a great way to get business? go away, spammer.
- Catgofire, on 01/16/2008, -0/+4I also heard they one hundred percent hate Ron Paul and iPhones. (Just in case Diggers aren't into babies.)
- an0nym0uz, on 01/16/2008, -3/+6Plaxo sucks! and facebook is now officially no better than myspace if not worse.
- javaroast, on 01/16/2008, -0/+3It won't happen. I'm almost positive that motolazr got busted for selling poorly made chinese toys that hurt babies.
- tdrizzle, on 01/16/2008, -1/+4Thanks mystery poster who's friend is 100% sure.
- Catgofire, on 01/16/2008, -0/+3But they'd better hurry... there are only 1,394 damn fake virtual roses left!
- airwalkery2k, on 01/16/2008, -0/+3Facebook is becoming the Dawson's Creek Trapper Keeper from South Park episode 60.
- Thex1138, on 01/16/2008, -0/+3FARCEBOOK
- vinecrawler, on 01/16/2008, -1/+4Right on! I'm quoting that and putting it in my quote section on facebook.
- psychicpet, on 01/16/2008, -0/+2Now Facebook can send you an email every ten seconds to remind you to update your contact info (and please sign up for Plaxo) so some dude (that you can't remember meeting) can keep track of who bought you a round of virtual drinks. Anyone who uses Plaxo is my enemy.
- ghandi69, on 01/16/2008, -1/+3I think your missing the point,
I assume then that you never use a telephone or communicate through the internet in anyway, because you would much rather just talk to them in person and deal with REAL people..... - SpykerSpeed, on 01/16/2008, -2/+4You're getting dugg down for having a life!
- JonathanB, on 01/16/2008, -0/+2Who cares?
- javaroast, on 01/16/2008, -1/+3Plaxo are a bunch of spammers who have somehow gained a level of acceptance. I on the other hand will never accept them for all the spamming they did in the past!
- sportbikepilot, on 01/16/2008, -0/+2buried because of "baby in a sleeping bag"
- inactive, on 01/16/2008, -0/+2I tried Plaxo once and didn't really get it. Bad UI or bad marketing but I just found it annoying. Same thing with Spock. I tried it for several months and I still don't know WTF it is supposed to do for me.
LinkedIn and Facebook both do a much better job of letting you understand and control what information you are sharing with others. - mikehill33, on 01/16/2008, -1/+3Wow, the combined SUCK of Plaxo and Facebook will make this a site to AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
- Catgofire, on 01/16/2008, -0/+2Wtf. First of all, you can turn off Facebook emails ( http://facebook.com/editaccount.php?notifications ) ... I don't get any, ever. Secondly, anyone who uses Plaxo is your enemy? Are you retarded?
- wherl78, on 01/16/2008, -0/+2Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo
- Catgofire, on 01/16/2008, -1/+3Um... no. I use Plaxo to sync my contacts between all of my computers, so I can contact people from anywhere. It also helps me keep calendars synced so I am organized. Medium for morons? I use Facebook to keep in touch, easily, with individuals and groups from home and from college. Medium for morons? You're commenting on Digg. Seriously. Being cynical is cool.
- Catgofire, on 01/16/2008, -0/+2Plaxo is a basically a large address book online with a lot of (some would say superfluous, ugly, disorganized) features. It also syncs automatically with a lot of different services. http://plaxo.com
- Durinthal, on 01/16/2008, -0/+2"Same thing with Spock. I tried it for several months and I still don't know WTF it is supposed to do for me."
Vulcan nerve pinch? - aliguana, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1it would be if Yahoo! bought it lol. Yahoo! Facebook!
- aliguana, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1wait... i thought Facebook wouldn't let you access your "friends" emails or phone number except on their profile page? Does this mean we will be able to sync addresses and such with Outlook? Or will Plaxo syncing only apply to non-Facebook entries? Or will our Plaxo addressbooks be sucked into the FB app machine? I can see the buyout as being a good thing, and also potentially nasty.
- javaroast, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1You are exactly right, I forgot about that.
- thetin, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1Don't even remind me how much Apps ruined facebook.
- jjustice, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1Fix your caps lock key, please.
- davidron, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1Plaxo has the most useful calendar, to-do, contact syncing I've seen on a web site for free. One popular use of plaxo is to get your corporate exchange (outlook) calendar to sync with Google Calendar through the use of an Outlook plugin. I have the plaxo plugin syncing my outlook data out to Google so that I don't even need to connect to the corporate VPN to see my calendar from home.
- ghdave, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1This is completely inaccurate. Comcast is buying Plaxo. See this article: http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&ct=us/0-0&fp= ...
- TheSabre, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1WTF is a telephone?
- MScrip, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1I use Facebook for communication. I have 303 friends on Facebook, half that I searched for, and half that found me. I can contact any of them when I want to. It's my address book, and I can easily share photos with those friends, or send a quick message. Compared to my Gmail address book... which has 12 people... most of which are family.
- Thex1138, on 01/16/2008, -0/+1Google will probably do that instead..
