- thinkingserious, on 05/29/2008, -0/+5It's great that there is more competition in this space. It will be interesting to see how Opera steps up its game.
- marshallk, on 05/28/2008, -1/+5Hope it supports video other than just YouTube. Blip, for example, would be nice.
- coloneltcb, on 05/29/2008, -0/+3marshallk - it does.
FTA:
Audio and video streams worked flawlessly on the browser. After testing the application against Youtube, I tried a bigger service: Hulu (Hulu coverage). Video playback was a little choppy which was expected. However, the performance far surpassed my expectations of the browser possibly choking and crashing. - inactive, on 05/29/2008, -0/+3Looks like this story is buried for not special reason.
- Corvida, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2Try switching to wifi if you can.
Wasn't too bad here in ATL (without wifi) though I'm using WinMobile Standard phone and on Verizon. - SirPopper, on 05/29/2008, -3/+5hah!
I hate mobile browsing! ;D cos the browsers IE/ opera mini/ FF burned my soooo small system. - smurfcore, on 05/28/2008, -2/+3I saw this at DEMO and it was awesome!
- Corvida, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1I'm always waiting to see what's going on with the iPhone. For now, Skyfire is definitely staying on my WinMobile.
- waynesutton, on 05/28/2008, -1/+2To bad I have a nokia, black berry & iphone which Skyfire doesn't support... only windows mobile at this time but it says Nokia support on the way. I'll keep my invite until then.
- jks139, on 05/29/2008, -1/+2But will it run Crysis?
- islander1592, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Excellent article. I loved it all until the end when it said no Palm support. I had tired Windows mobile on a previous device, but made a decision with my latest upgrade to go back to Palm OS. Developments of this caliber make me worry for the future of Palm/Treo in the SmartPhone/PDA arena. Blazer, hang your head.
- woofers07, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1no blackberry support, bummer.
- sb76117, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1i just got into the beta. all video sites work so far, but video quality is really choppy on my q9h. audio is great
- Corvida, on 05/29/2008, -2/+2You won't have that problem with Skyfire.
- elliottng, on 05/28/2008, -1/+1awesomesauce CorvidaZ!
- Ridgeliner7, on 05/29/2008, -2/+2Excellent!
- circle26, on 05/29/2008, -1/+1I have the beta of this browser, it's really nice but it's also slow as hell on my sprint mogul (I have the EVDO rev A, too). Then again, the phone is pretty sluggish in general.
- JNez, on 05/29/2008, -1/+0this is a great article. i'm gonna sample skyfire and may add another phone to supplement my iphone if 2.0 doesn't knock my socks off.
