- joeserg, on 02/08/2010, -2/+88I can't believe how ugly the back of that phone is. HTC are so close to making the perfect device to rival the iPhone but with each model they trip over different bits. The HTC HD2 is absolutely stunning aesthetically, but it still runs Windows Mobile. An Android version of it would = instant purchase. The HTC Hero is almost there, but that banana curve? No thank you.
- waterboy1628, on 02/08/2010, -0/+55the guy recording the video needs some tips
- evilregis, on 02/08/2010, -2/+50Surprising comment given your username.
- JustinHorne, on 02/08/2010, -1/+43Oh, someone's getting fired... People, seriously, leave your reflection/Facebook friends/serial numbers out of the photos. This is basic spy photo stuff.
- physixx, on 02/08/2010, -2/+34No I'd say the only surprise is your inability to understand sarcasm, fanboy.
- SpaceCowb0y, on 02/08/2010, -2/+30I have the Hero and I like the "chin" on the phone, so does my cousin, it's different, and makes the phone slightly more comfortable holding it when you talk. The only problem I have with the Hero is it's running android 1.5 and HTC has yet to upgrade it, I contacted them and they said they are skipping 1.6 and going to work on 2.1 but WHEN?
- gamerzworld, on 02/08/2010, -1/+28Those photo are....

Incredible.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - edwardr3073, on 02/08/2010, -2/+27im really liking the look of android
- StefanArak, on 02/08/2010, -4/+28I have the HD2, and while I agree that WinMo 6.5 is incredibly ugly once you have to delve into the menus (which are also designed for stylus use), I like the incredible degree of customization and tweaking possible with the Windows OS. Luckily, HTC Sense means I never have to see the WinMo interface unless I specifically want to delve into the deeper settings or the registry, and I get a free upgrade to WinMo 7 when it comes out to boot (which will hopefully be as good as Windows 7 for the PC).
I get that this is digg, and I do actually love Google, but my brother's phone has android and although pretty functional, it leaves me feeling slightly unfulfilled.
To me, the HD2 is the best purchase I ever made. It is super fast, has every function under the sun, never crashes, looks pretty despite WinMo, and the guys over at XDA Dev forums have a blast with what they can do with it (i.e. running Tekken 3 on my phone with a bluetooth gamepad). It has truly killed, if nothing else, at least my perception that the iPhone should even be considered a top-class phone, when comparing it with the HD2, the nexus one, and other such devices. - ChromaVita, on 02/08/2010, -0/+19Unless HTC knew about this and planned to have it "leaked"
- ronintetsuro, on 02/09/2010, -0/+13For a insider spy, he really seems to be...

... phoning it in.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - ProjectGSX, on 02/08/2010, -1/+12Did you leave the /s off of your post? The phone is named "Incredible". So they are photos of the HTC Incredible. IE, Incredible photos.
- MCA2142, on 02/08/2010, -0/+9Oops. just realized I posted this in the wrong page.
My bad. - redline6800, on 02/08/2010, -2/+11http://rorr.im
- robbiekhan, on 02/08/2010, -0/+9Shocker as another touchphone looks like an iphone from a distance!
- brainflakes, on 02/08/2010, -2/+11Ahem, HTC Touch Pro is a Windows Mobile phone, this is an Android phone. There's a slight difference in OS there...
- digggggggggg, on 02/09/2010, -1/+10Meh, I'd take the keyboard over the faster CPU. Having actual buttons makes playing snes and genesis games doable.
- jamesmetham, on 02/09/2010, -0/+8Steve Jobs will sue HTC for using the word "incredible".
- thebeginning, on 02/08/2010, -4/+12Good thing I just got the Droid.
hmpf - dragossh, on 02/08/2010, -0/+8March. By then Google will release a newer version of the OS, and they'll want to work with that. And when they get it stable, 3.0 will ship.
I hope not, but they were working on 1.6, then 2.0, now 2.1. What's taking them so friggin' long? They had 2.0 for months now, and 2.1 is not that different I suppose. - gmhafiz, on 02/08/2010, -0/+7A major difference I would say.
- banidopto, on 02/08/2010, -0/+7"AppleTheBEst"
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha - jkeledgewood, on 02/08/2010, -0/+6Verizon's HQ in new Jersey is in the old AT&T Buildings (pre-break-up) The facility, to be called Verizon Center, is a 1.3 million-square-foot complex of seven interconnected buildings on a 135-acre campus originally built and occupied by AT&T. and Bernardsville NJ is very close by, and from looking at the pictures he has his weather set for this area. It did snow Saturday morning we had no snow in the after noon. So I guess he is from Verizon and lives near by. ooops
- armo, on 02/08/2010, -0/+5I was far from convinced about the chin when I saw pictures of the phone but have to say it's a really useful and actually looks a lot better in real life than in the pictures. It makes it more comfortable as you said but it also protects the screen and trackball from damage.
- MercenarySlick, on 02/08/2010, -0/+5@ dragossh they said that 2.0 or 2.1 update would be available for Hero/Eris phones in January, I believe. That didn't happen. I want the free navigation dammit.
- sab0tage, on 02/08/2010, -0/+4Windows Mobile is not unstable, it is a very mature platform and is very reliable. Before you blame the OS, make sure it's not the software you have chosen to run, 99% of the time that will be the reason for the problem.
Wireless carriers are well known for putting ***** customisations onto devices they subsidise, which is far less tested than Microsoft or the ODM software, I can't suggest going to XDA-Developers.com (GSM mainly) or PPCGeeks.com (CDMA mainly) and downloading a new ROM. Some ROM chefs put in hundreds of hours of work on their ROM and due to the large number of people testing them very quickly quash any problems.
My HD2 is running a WWE Windows Mobile 6.5.5 ROM by DuttyThroy and it is as solid as a rock. - wassamatta, on 02/08/2010, -2/+68 comments / 110 diggs and bandwidth exceeded? I hate you first comers!
/s - ThinkIcouldburn, on 02/08/2010, -1/+5I believe that butt ugly brown color you're referring to is actually called red.
- krisrm, on 02/09/2010, -0/+4They're all out of ***** keyboards. Sometimes they use regular ones, though.
- CaptainCool53, on 02/08/2010, -0/+4Enhance!
- BigLou, on 02/08/2010, -0/+4Overclock the Droid to 1ghz... there you go.
- SitPoMk, on 02/08/2010, -1/+5Meh it's just an unreleased phone that seems almost identical to the droid or nexus one.
- meninostongue, on 02/08/2010, -0/+3@Merc: Why not use the navigation that is on there already? I have the MyTouch and just getting directions via the Google Maps app gives the option of turn by turn directions.
- icecoldtrashcan, on 02/08/2010, -5/+8I think 'Incredible Photos' is slightly stretching the meaning of the word 'incredible'.
- StefanArak, on 02/08/2010, -0/+3Well, it is a resoursce hog, but with the power of the HD2 I've never had a slowdown. Quite the contrary, its lightning fast. I NEVER see the gui of WinMo unless I intend to, but I can understand why you don't like that.
What I don't understand is how you can say there are few config options. You can change everything, including things you aren't meant to change (thanks to the tinkerers at xda). - mac734, on 02/08/2010, -0/+3I got the Eris a few months ago and it's been great, overall. HTC's keyboard is the best I've seen on a touchscreen phone. Looks like the facebook app still sucks though.
- Dodobutt222, on 02/08/2010, -0/+3Pretty ***** leak job
- planetfour, on 02/09/2010, -0/+3Damn, and here I am stuck on the first Failgasm miniboss.
- MercenarySlick, on 02/08/2010, -2/+4I agree.
I have the Droid Eris which has the Sense UI like this new "Incredible" phone. Aesthetically the Eris is great, but it could use a performance boost, bigger screen etc... If this new HTC phone didn't have such a terribly ugly back and copied the soft touch type of back of the Eris, I'd switch the moment it came out.
Android 2.1 with Sense UI on a phone with a 3.7 inch screen and the 1Ghz Snapdragon processor would be in my opinion the best phone available. Most people I know with iPhones admit that Sense is better-looking and more functional than the iPhone OS. The Twitter and SMS widgets on the homescreen blew their minds when I showed them to them. - juicebag, on 02/09/2010, -0/+2Why don't they put ***** keyboards on these things anymore?
- Super6, on 02/09/2010, -0/+2I think it means a virtual scroll ball where you just rub your finger over the area where the scrollball normally is and it moves a cursor
- CowGoesMooo, on 02/08/2010, -2/+4I love my HD2 but christ on a bike, Windows Mobile is so unstable it's obscene. I'm considering a custom ROM to try and tighten it up a bit.
- wild, on 02/08/2010, -0/+2Thank Dman.
"First half" is such a huge window. Ugh... - djAnakin, on 02/08/2010, -0/+2Wrong!
- themapleboy, on 02/09/2010, -0/+2its like different flavors of icecream to each his/her own
- amossology, on 02/08/2010, -0/+2The title is misleading. Should be "Exclusive 'HTC Incredible' Photos" or "Exclusive HTC, Incredible Photos". I was hoping for the latter but got the former.
- NickyZ1000, on 02/09/2010, -0/+2I agree, I used to have a WinMo phone and it had an incredible amount of customization options.
And since its programmed in C++ that makes it easier for them to develop emulator programs for it, I remember I would always play Earthbound, Zelda, and Harvest Moon for SNES on that thing all the time. - StefanArak, on 02/08/2010, -0/+2Yeah, my HD2 crashed a couple of times, but HTC has released a new ROM for it, I installed that, and it has fixed everything, from the texts not sending bug to the lock screen lock up- looks like it was HTC and not WinMo to blame! Anyway, after I installed that, I have literally never had even the smallest hitch, maybe I'm just lucky.
Cowgoesmoo- have you definitely installed the latest ROM? Depending on when you got your HTC, you may not have it.

http://twitter.com/htc/status/7962035938 - Khast, on 02/09/2010, -0/+2...because the iPhone is the phone that Jesus himself uses, right?
The only reason the iPhone is so great is because of the hype behind it. The way things are going in the smartphone market..Apple will be left in the dust, with only fanboys clinging to it.
Apple controls what can and can't be put on their platform.
Android is an open source platform...basically any schmuck can make an app, and put it on the phone. -
