Evil Google Cache: What the google.be case is really about
fplanque.net — Google.be got sued and currently has a long legal note displayed on its legendary white home page (check it out). A lot has been said about this case: that it could have been avoided with robots.txt, that it was all about the money, etc. Actually, it has probably been misunderstood. It is probably more about Google Cache caching forever...

You can't sue everyone who might cache your content just because you charge for it once you put it in your archive.
I admit it does show that Google has some power over the Web, but I think that this is just a case where Google happens to be the largest target.
