Though ethical issues aside, I'm also curious about how other people visualize things. There are so many things we could use this for. I've found it impossible to ever understand how someone else (or maybe an animal) thinks. digg used to be a community of cynical, but highly educated people. Now here is a (fuzzy, to say the least) article about a technology that *may* come to fruition in a hundred year or so, and emo comments like the one above ("Uuuuh! I'm scared! Leave my brain alone!") get 70+ diggs.
Seriously. Have you lost your ***** minds?
Neurology isn't anywhere near reproducing human dreams on an HDTV screen, not even in ***** Japan.
With today's technology, we scan the brain like a three year old kid walking around a 4 GHz workstation, wondering what might go on in there.
And we do not have a ***** clue, except for the occasional blinking light.
