Then the folks at Newzbin developed the NZB file, which changed everything. Add to that the repair function of Quickpar, and newsgroups are now PURE JOY.

- TA_Superman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1BTW Most ISP's have free newsgroup access just google your isp and news server and you will find the address. Most free ones SUCK ASS. For example my Roadrunner has a horrible rentetion of 24 hours a completention rate of 50% or so.
One provider i recommend is newshosting www.newshosting.com $15 bucks a month for unlimited downloads. First, you have to PAY FOR ACCESS, then search through millions of headers which may or may not be complete, spend a long time downloading, just to get random, incomplete files that you can't even use if you want to.
