- MrHairy2005, on 06/14/2008, -10/+294Firefox is so superior to internet explorer, it's not even funny!
- inactive, on 06/14/2008, -10/+147Someone mentioned Microsoft. Do they even make a browser anymore? :)
- HoppingRabbit, on 06/14/2008, -9/+132I can't wait to enjoy a much improved Firefox.
- inactive, on 06/15/2008, -7/+125My Firefox can download more internets than your Opera.
- Lane, on 06/15/2008, -4/+112Well....it is a little funny...
- Sil369, on 06/15/2008, -78/+171I use Opera. Bury me bitches.
- aussieNickuss, on 06/15/2008, -3/+92You know.....you've been able to enjoy a much improved Firefox going on a couple of months now.
- BlueSkyfish, on 06/15/2008, -3/+71In fact, its pretty depressing!
- Ridgeliner7, on 06/14/2008, -7/+75I just hope everyone will have their extensions and add-ons updated by Tuesday! I tried the final Beta, but none of the extensions would work....:-(
- thewildvinci, on 06/15/2008, -26/+88"insert witty quote about firefox's superiority here"
- ELiTe185, on 06/15/2008, -1/+58I just hope everyone remembers this:
"What qualifies as an official download of Firefox?
A "download" is the transmission of the entire, fully functioning Firefox 3 -- not an update." - viper565, on 06/15/2008, -1/+45It's not supposed to be funny...
- raydeen, on 06/15/2008, -1/+43As long as you're not using IE, you get dugg up.
- Deodrus, on 06/15/2008, -9/+49"insert lame attempt to start a meme-chain here"
/fail - terajoule, on 06/15/2008, -4/+40Nope. Not happening today. +1 digg for you.
- ConfusedCartman, on 06/15/2008, -4/+37I wonder if there's a correlation between douchebags and stupid theories.
Oh wait... - KableKiB, on 06/15/2008, -3/+35"insert lame attempt to start a meme-chain here"
/success - inactive, on 06/15/2008, -3/+34THE CHAIN IS BROKEN RIGHT HERE - STOP THIS *****. IT'S OLD.
- Zemnexx, on 06/15/2008, -2/+33No, I am going to participate in Download day, and a Firefox user myself, but in the spirit of friendly competition, I will dig you also.
- ROW3BO4T, on 06/15/2008, -1/+31After enjoying the Beta's, release candidates, and soon the official Firefox 3, I definitely want to give a lot of credit and thanks to Mozilla for making a great browser badass!
- ConfusedCartman, on 06/15/2008, -2/+31Trust me, they wouldn't egg it on unless they believed they were ready for it.
That's why we should teach them a lesson; everyone should download Firefox twice on that day, so we can double the server load. The lesson? Prepare to be suprised. - nuno86, on 06/15/2008, -0/+28I bet firefox servers are going to be so FAST on June 17. Everyone downloading at the same time, awesome.
- TomTruelle, on 06/15/2008, -2/+29We know....
- viper565, on 06/15/2008, -11/+36Sweet! It's on my birthday!
- rbross2005, on 06/15/2008, -3/+27http://xkcd.com/198/
- ivan423, on 06/14/2008, -8/+31I pledged when there were about 200,000 pledges. I have been waiting so long. I can't wait any longer! It's pandemonium 2008!
- aussieNickuss, on 06/15/2008, -3/+26Yeah, it's this "product" called Internet Explorer. They get their unqualified interns to work on it in their spare time.
- ichbeineinrcg, on 06/15/2008, -4/+26Really? If someone downloaded me free software for my birthday, I'd kick them in the shin. It's the thought that counts, my ass.
- datcrazydj, on 06/15/2008, -1/+23I wonder how their servers are going to handle the 1 million downloads on that day.
- DonSlice, on 06/15/2008, -2/+23Keep going. Please.
/sarcasm - ConfusedCartman, on 06/15/2008, -5/+26THAT'S RIGHT, NO MORE MEME CHAINS. THEY SUCK.
- DonSlice, on 06/15/2008, -0/+21I'll download it.. but I might be a bit tied up with the Spore Creature Creator.
- crownedgriffin, on 06/15/2008, -8/+29Digging you up with Opera. :O
- twiztidsinz, on 06/15/2008, -0/+20How so?
Because it's designed not to let you by default install a plug-in for a version that it hasnt been tested on by the author?
By using the Nightly Tester Tools you're bypassing a stability feature designed to ensure that the plug-in you're using works the way the plug-in developer intended it to work when he released it.
To be blatantly honest, the beta is a testing ground.
Your convenience is not a top priority. - inactive, on 06/15/2008, -4/+24SCREW MEME CHAINS - GOD THEY PISS ME OFF.
- Nick22, on 06/15/2008, -1/+20True, but when you start to do any sort of web design, you appreciate browsers like firefox and opera alot more.
- morpheus9602, on 06/15/2008, -10/+29wow, 258 people in North Korea will download it. Sounds like someone wants to break the law there.
8390 people in Iran. Must be some sort of underground. They even outnumber Saudi Arabia.
46 people in Lesotho, sounds like the entire population is represented there.
380 people in Cuba, that sounds about right since most people don't have a computer there. - inactive, on 06/15/2008, -4/+23I ***** LOVE MEME CHAINS!
- Shiner6, on 06/15/2008, -1/+19That it is.
- doshindude, on 06/15/2008, -8/+25Nightly Tester Tools >>>>> Force Install/Override Compatibility
Figure it out people. - Mossmaal, on 06/15/2008, -4/+21great birthday present!
- fredmv, on 06/15/2008, -1/+18There's always Lynx.
- borninda818, on 06/15/2008, -0/+17I'm sure digg will remind me on the 17th.
- ConfusedCartman, on 06/15/2008, -4/+20Opera is a damn good alternative, I used it for a while. +1
- thegreypilgrim, on 06/15/2008, -0/+15What time zone is the 24hr download period in? Tuesday somewhere in the U.S. I guess?
- Mossmaal, on 06/15/2008, -0/+15the difference is firefox is free, you lose nothing but bandwidth by dowloading it
- gibler, on 06/15/2008, -0/+14Yes, living in a timezone that is 12 hours (13 when daylight savings is on) ahead of GMT you can find lots of odd stuff. Quite often you find websites that won't accept your current date as they think you are posting from the future.
- twiztidsinz, on 06/15/2008, -0/+14No
You have to download it from the Mozilla site itself for it to count, updating through the browser doesnt work either.
Though thats not to say you cant download it from Mozilla, delete it and then obtain a compiled version from somwhere else.
Though might be faster to compile it yourself on release day rather than waiting for someone to compile it then submit it. - batTUrd, on 06/15/2008, -0/+13Your hours have 100 minutes in them?!
- svensksvamp, on 06/15/2008, -5/+18changed your life..? really?
