DirecTV picks LG for MPEG-4 HDTV receivers

  • dabigc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've already played with this box at work and it's pretty slick, but not expected to roll out for about a year (along with the new 3 LNB dish). The hardware is sweet, but the new dish is huge. The new box looks normal though, so if you're expecting any special lights or bells-n-whistles, it aint there. Rock on HD!!

  • phildog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well, Verizon FIOS TV is supposed to roll out in my area within 3 mos and at that point I'll cancel my DirecTV subscription. Guess what DirecTV, FIOS will offer an HD DVR the day they start delivering the content. Hello McFly!

  • inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0LG stopped making OTA HD because they suck ASS!!! I had a DVD OTA HD reciever combo and I returned it! Hopefully their Directv workks better. I love Directv especially next month when they get XM satellite radio! Gotta love it!
