- techtock, on 11/09/2009, -4/+106Hey, everybody! I know this is off-topic, but have you heard about a new game that has been released entitled "Dragon Age"? It's made by EA and Bioware and it's in stores now. Check it out!
- immatellyouwhat, on 11/09/2009, -7/+53Knock knock...

sorry I'm really bored at work. - gankige, on 11/09/2009, -4/+41I can't wait to see the updated version of this in two-three years or so when Twitter isn't on it and the iPhone has to be side-by-side with Android phones.
- kellan6, on 11/09/2009, -3/+34I think facebook needs to be higher up on that list.
- mmmcocoapuffs, on 11/09/2009, -0/+30PORN

- Syric, on 11/09/2009, -0/+12Wikipedia should be on there.
- AmyVernon, on 11/09/2009, -1/+13I totally disagree w/the Twitter heirarchy, though - an @ message on Twitter totally ranks higher than DMs, given that 99 percent of DMs are spam automessages.
- Scira, on 11/09/2009, -0/+10Holy ***** dragon age ad beat my ABP.
Screw them and their ***** spam game. - techobo, on 11/09/2009, -0/+8Why isn't pr0n on this lis...fap fap fap.
- theOster, on 11/09/2009, -0/+8you should tweet this
- BigLou, on 11/09/2009, -2/+9Why is the iPhone on there?
- BubblesTheChimp, on 11/09/2009, -1/+7MUST. BUY. DRAGON. AGE.
- akseitz, on 11/09/2009, -0/+5I'd put Digg/Facebook on the upper third and Twitter somewhere below cleaning the community microwave.
- avianeddy, on 11/09/2009, -0/+5YES!
Digg distracts ME at least 3 times a day :p - BubblesTheChimp, on 11/09/2009, -0/+3You mean the one that's being spammed to hell and back by the popular news-aggregator site Digg.com?
- eigenweasel, on 11/09/2009, -0/+3It was in the first draft, but a self-appointed Digital Distraction Hierarchy expert edited it out then locked the topic.
- OLTP, on 11/09/2009, -0/+3I didn't understand that infographic at all, but I think it had something to do with kittens *****.
- jerryjamesstone, on 11/09/2009, -0/+3Stop calling me a spammer...geez!
- ModeSeven, on 11/09/2009, -0/+3I remember when the guy who makes these infographic things (David McCandless) used to work for PC Zone in the 90s. I believe he was a Doom world champion for a short while until he was blown away by some 13 year old kid.
On a related note, anyone remember when all PC game ads had ***** in them for entirely random reasons? I miss the mid 90s. - theOster, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2missed the first comment did ya?
- somebodyscream, on 11/10/2009, -0/+2I like how readability of this chart has an inverse relationship with the distract-ability values.
- dtfinch, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2Am I still online?

else
work - Gagege, on 11/10/2009, -0/+2Weird, I read your comment as "DISTRACTION AGE AD TRUMPS ALL".
- gpl100, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2I hope ugly on the left doesn't care about us using ABP and somehow getting the background to normal.
Also...Digg Trends is just a fancy guerilla marketing banner in my mind. - Retrodigg123, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2When I see the familiar, "You have received an email from Facebook".. all work is halted until I see what person has invited me to do some stupid ***** quiz, or tagged me in a photo.
- theOster, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2i dont really understand the organization. usually the lower you go, the more fundamental and necessary. this has the "distractability" arrow going bottom to top, fine but then it also has the trump arrows which seem to indicate that the iphone trumps all...i dont know, i think that could have been mobile phone because you can check all the things below on it. i guess i'm just confused. (and quite probably an idiot)
- CBKBAMF, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2No Wikipedia? You gotta be kidding me...
- capyoda, on 11/10/2009, -0/+2(PYRAMID CHART); (PICS); (INFOGRAPHICS); (MAP);
- Snoogs, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2random button= awesome
- MtheoryX, on 11/10/2009, -0/+2Win: Your comment is ***** chock full of it.
- theOster, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1god i love that thing!
- gpl100, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1Thanks Digg...making me look like a tool; you removed the background ad just now!
You can get rid of the annoying background ads in the future with this GreaseMonkey script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/61544 - pjx1, on 11/09/2009, -1/+2No Digg FAIL!
- cjmnews, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1This works better than ABP for Firefox

} - Ghostwo, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1The one nice thing about the same ads over and over is that it becomes easier to ignore them. I don't even see them anymore.
- nyxerebos, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1no imageboard?
- yocouchdigga, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1This was better the first time it was on the FP.
- J0hnnyBlaze, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1no porno?
- Ghostwo, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1This infographic is incredibly lame, and really only applies to it's author. No wikisurfing, no youtube, hulu, digg. But they put twitter up there half a dozen times, plus a cliche 'iPhone' at the top. Bury.
- BubblesTheChimp, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1Dugg for any mention of *****.
- rpapi100, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1What Dragon Age ad?
Userstyle scripts FTW
http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/1200/scriptsftw ... - scarth, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1looking at this article was very distracting
- Charlie1er, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1New Digg story about Digg (like the one about Dragon Age ads) - Light blue, at least!
- MrDowntempo, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1I agree... in fact... lemme go check my feed.
- mescad, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1Since they changed it so that DM's can only come from people you follow, if you are getting DM spam auto-messages it sounds like you are following the wrong people.
