- Offill, on 10/12/2007, -12/+348Hey, Digg's not Google. The beta only lasted a short while, instead of several years!
- zirtbow, on 10/12/2007, -8/+188I'm guessing that Google has a larger userbase to draw feedback/bug reports from. That still shouldn't take YEARS to beta test but still Google makes some solid software. Digg v3 still was a huge and fantastic leap though.
- gwalbridge, on 10/12/2007, -18/+115@salweem -- The irony of your statement, in relation to your user avatar, makes me chuckle.
Now g'head, digg me down. :P - JackDoyle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+62I want the "All" section to be my default. Can I set that yet?
- Offill, on 10/12/2007, -5/+59The load time is a problem that needs to seriously be addressed, but other than that Digg v3 is golden.
- InternetUser, on 10/12/2007, -5/+45Silly me, I thought the solution was more/better servers and bandwidth and tighter software :p
- salweem, on 10/12/2007, -18/+57Beta can be used as an excuse... if something go's wrong they can always say its a Beta and this stuff happens during the beta process.
- Terc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+38I still notice a graphical bug, repeatedly clicking the mod up (the green thumb) will raise the diggs for comments serveral times, seems like the faster you go the higher you can get. Anyhow, it's only graphical, reloading the page just puts it back where it was after your first click
- ceeam, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24Nice. And I was wondering here why digg is so glitchy today.... But at least "Bury story" popup stopped jumping around in Opera.
- NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21"This morning we squashed the last of the major digg v3 bugs and pushed them live to the site."
They sure did, I noticed all the bugs they pushed to the site fairly early on...
Front page stories at 4 diggs... 100+ comments on an article disappearing, then reappearing... - pacdude, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22You know nerds don't like sports!
/sarcasm - Cymrubeats, on 10/12/2007, -12/+27"My ***** is much bigger than yours"?
It may well be, but there's not much use in having a really cool car when it spends all it's time in the garage. :) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17I've had no serious load time problems or any other problems. I love the new Digg and, frankly, it is what brought me back here after a few months of giving up on Digg. I had engaged in some conversations that were personally offensive to me and a bit upsetting and I decided I just didn't want to participate here anymore, despite there being a lot of cool people. Plus, I was spending so much time here that other projects were suffering and my hands were getting sore from typing (seriously!).
I kept seeing all the "Digg V3.0" hoopla and thinking "so what - ***** it". And after about two weeks, I just could not resist. I just thought "well... maybe I'll just take a look.. and see what's new..." Next thing I know, I'm posting and reading and digging. Damn it. And damn Kevin.
Frankly, I want all my time back you bastards! :P - gwalbridge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13@ Tiabin & bobothn -- The article name changed, which is why you received an error. The name was "Digg v3 Released To Public," which is quite misleading because we've all been using it for a while now. It was then renamed to "Digg v3 Released To Public (beta period is over)."
- thatsiebguy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Now all we need is that real time visualizer. :D
- Cerberus047, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Woot now i can Report stories in opera 9!!!!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Beta over!
...Then I tried to post a comment to this story and got a 404 error. LOL! - diamondg14, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15What is the update on a Sports section. Damn it, nerds love sports too!
- Tiabin, on 10/12/2007, -5/+17Heh... I clicked comments a moment ago to THIS post and got a "Page Not Found" message.. (Thought it worked this time) Also noticed a few things I dugg seems to have undugg themselves.
We sure about the bugs being fixed, Kevin? :-) - zephc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11lets see if the timer bug is fixed...
edit: 1 minute edit time? what happened to 400 seconds?! - mopper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12thanks digg!!! lovin v3 cant wait for digg spy on crack
- TheOneGreatX, on 10/12/2007, -9/+20set your bookmark to http://digg.com/view/all
- mecole21, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15Digg & ESPN.com... if only Digg had a sports section I wouldnt have to go to ESPN.com
- bobothn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11lol when i posted that comment i got this error message i think they have a little more work to do http://aycu21.webshots.com/image/2580/1887344046737971632_rs.jpg
- jayadelson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9We're also sensitive to make sure Digg doesn't become total "bloatware," and believe me, if we added every feature people wanted it would be just that.
As for the bugs, be specific...some of the ones you mentioned were fixed this morning. Regarding the right alignment issue, we're on it, give us time. We've heard your requests, and in the two weeks since we released v3 (after six months of development) I hope you excuse the fact we haven't added countless features overnight.
Regarding photos... We haven't had a lot of interest in that so far, you really think so? Anyone for photos section, email us! - Terc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10if we all block Cymrubeats, who will mod him down?
(block a user by clicking the crossed out circle to the right of his name)
also, please do a serch for Cymrubeats on this page before getting too upset that I'd suggest blocking him... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Digg already does that.
Older, more active, positively scored accounts have more weight in their digg than new accounts that almost never digg or comment. As far as I know that has ALWAYS been in force. Kevin has commented on it numerous times in various interviews. - Sibertank, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Same here. I'm waiting for that feature...
- BlueLaser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8@Googleplex: It's not complaining. My original post was polling the Digg community to see if others were experiencing the same display problems so as to identify a possible bug. That's how you find obscure problems and fix them...
- domr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I think you've been dug down because most readers are still here for the tech news.
But your comment is valid - even if your username isn't. Setting the default home page to be a single section isn't particularly logical or intuitive. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13Who cares! Where are the new digg spy tools?!?
- ItsDrew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Scenario that needs to be fixed in next release:
I'm not logged in.
I try to digg a story and I get the login banner.
After I log in using the banner, it doesn't take me back to the same page I was at prior to the login, it takes me to a search page with no results found. - JamesWilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Blame Microsoft
- akira117, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7When is Digg Labs and the api going to launch?
I soo can't wait for it anymore! - ccanni1028, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9It was pretty glitchy today for me too. I would reply to a topic with 60+ comments, and then when it reloaded there would only be one.
- akira117, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7@Jamezes
Wow your quick!
Nothing gets past you. - Cutter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Kevin, thanks for the hard work! Now... do you have an antidote or some sort of rehab for the digg addiction I've developed? Maybe some sort of 12 step thing?
- toxicredm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8OK, nevermind, it looks like it's working now. Now all we need is an unbury button.
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10will ebay also not be complete until it's open source? what about msn? what about just about any major web site?
go tell google to open their search ranking algorithms.... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6V3 is nice but it's also much slower while using Safari now. I would like to see the javascript cleaned up to better support Safari.
- procdaddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6well personally i'd rather see IE users not use digg, maybe we'll get less dupes :D
- mecole21, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7well go use wikipedia then
- itsnotvalid, on 10/12/2007, -8/+14All I want is that digg should no longer use "Technology" as the fount page.
- akira117, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Whats IE?!
Is it a website or something?
Maybe you should quit worrying about that site and come back to digg.com. - longofest, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5flush cache?
- scott1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5And don't forget the burried stories section.
- procdaddy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10consider this a public service announcement from digg.
DO NOT USE IE :x - cooltom2006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Bug fixed, yeah rite! Not! I just posted a comment and it said the page I am looking for doesn't;'t exist! Then when I tryed again, ie, closed the page and went back onto digg, it was there! But not to worry, I reported it as a bug!
- akira117, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Everybody says in unison "Thank You Microsoft for Not Following Standards!"
- BlueLaser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Well okay then. I'd be surprised to find out that no one else has seen sporadic page layout problems, but I guess browsers have caused stranger things to happen...

What is Digg?
