- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+82Well, it's MS Office. Looking at it objectively, MS hate aside, you have to admit Office 2007 is a good product (the office series is something MS has consistently gotten right). Sure there are alternatives, but then there are alternatives to Photoshop as well. It also has a significantly larger impact on the world than Digg, so yeah it should probably be rated higher than Digg. Not to mention that , from what alot of the "veteran" Digg community has been saying, the quality of Digg has decreased over the years. I personally like it here, but then again I've only been here maybe a year at most.
Also keep in mind that both got ranked below the CyberPower Gamer Infinity Ultimate (as ridiculous as the name sounds), which is an overclocked PC. - bignaz2k, on 10/11/2007, -1/+59What's with all these Best of 2007 lists? The year isn't even half over yet!
- hrhs556x, on 10/11/2007, -1/+57yea ok Apple TV as #11, whatever.
- SirBotchness, on 10/11/2007, -1/+31Apple TV, doesn't belong in the top 20. It's a cool device, but not that cool.
grats digg for making the list - crackedplastic, on 10/11/2007, -23/+53"we"? Do you work for Digg?
- rstarr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+30((shakes head))
No, no it does not.
((sigh)) - NetElemental, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28@crackedplastic: philovivero actually does work for digg, he's the DBA - http://www.digg.com/about/time
- Ramble, on 10/11/2007, -1/+27Paint.net is excellent.
- FearlessFreep, on 10/11/2007, -1/+27"the real question , is digg a product"
It's the product of a bunch of people getting together who feel self-important simply because a bunch of people got togther for the purpose of feeling self-important - gharding, on 10/11/2007, -2/+23Wow. I wish Forbes et al. would take a hint from PC World and stop doing douchebaggery slideshows. I dugg this just for having all items on one page.
- ChromaVita, on 10/11/2007, -13/+34I'd check the trash can.
- tateswayz91, on 10/11/2007, -2/+21Why is Yahoo Mail Above Gmail??
- davidhildreth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17#10 Adobe Premiere Elements 3
ahaahahhhaaaaaahahaaaaaaa
no really, that is crazy - FearlessFreep, on 10/11/2007, -4/+21Slashdot is running the same story
There the comments are about how lame the list is and how much seems to be driven by advertising
Here the complaint is how low digg ranked. - hrhs556x, on 10/11/2007, -5/+19so yea what about all the products that come out May23rd-December31st of 2007, do those dates not count as 2007 anymore?
I'm confused. - totallyAMAZING, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13No joke, it's gotten luke-warm reviews at the very best, all of which say, "it does what little it does pretty well."
Also Digg is a service, not a product. So this list is just silly. - AmusedToDeath, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12I would rank PC World as #1 most boring, irrelevant technology publication.
- vs292, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13@Jake
The real question is: Why the hell haven't you installed Adblock Plus? - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10The Wii is on the list because it has an innovative controller and sent shockwaves through an entire industry. Xbox 360 Elite is on the list because it's a solid hardware package with an industry-leading online marketplace component (Elite is designed as a set-top box for buying movies and TV shows, and may possibly be THE best set-top box on the market right now for buying and watching multimedia content in HD).
Now, what exactly does the PlayStation 3 offer here? Yes, it's extremely powerful... but that's pretty much it. It's just a bunch of advanced and expensive pieces of silicon and plastic strapped together in a shiny black casing. Why should it be included on this list on this merit alone? Unlike what Sony's engineers would have you believe, power alone does not make something "the best". - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+17A glorified message board is one of the best products of 2007? Mmmkay. If they say so.
- emiliogtz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9So in about a few weeks we can expect the best products of 2008... give me a break... buried.
- ElRayQuieres, on 10/11/2007, -7/+15LOL, i hate macs, I'm using vista atm, and I like it, but I don't see how you can claim any OS is more bloated. And macs, as much as I wouldn't want to use one, they are stable, much more so than Vista.
- jake8689, on 10/11/2007, -6/+14the real question , is digg a product
also i love the fark add----------------------------------------------> - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8FIOS, Drool.
- davidhildreth, on 10/11/2007, -14/+21wow, that is some pretty awful fanboy *****.
if you like vista more than os X that is fine, but there is no way you could backup that sort of rant with any sort of review or study. - ahhell, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Two words:
Sock puppets. - Xenstier, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9I think that MS Office 2007 is a better product that digg for the 3 simple reasons that it is a more use-based productivity suite of applications. The new ribbon interface is soo much better that the toolbar. This series has gotten a serious refresh that it so greatly needed. All that MS Office 07 needs to do now is to think of more innovative features and not be such a resource hog. But Digg is a great product too but the AJAX sometimes do not work and its pod cast feature needs to get better. Also sometimes you need incremental updates not a whole big version up date that is what you call minor releases .The API is great. Don't get mad because MS Office 07 is better . Just be thankful you are rated above the Apple iTS and the XPS M1210
- xspinkickx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I love how OSX 10.4 (tiger) is on that list it came out two years ago, hey don't get me wrong its a good product but shouldn't it be for products that came out in 2007??
- derricklorah, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Do people just digg anything on the front page without reading a single word besides the headline? What a terrible list.
- FearlessFreep, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6"Tell that to the companies who use the "Digg.com" product to advance THEIR products via advertising"
Cleverly disguised as story submissions - Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -5/+9I wonder how many who say "OS X never crash!" use a macbook. Hardware/driver issues is a ***** nightmare with OS X: I can reliably crash my desktop machine solely by running Firefox on it. And yeah, OS X really is horribly bloated, and horribly slow.
- Schnep97, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Where is BitTorrent?
- nathanwalker, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Did you even click the link?
"The 100 Best Products of 2007
Our editors rank the best PCs, HDTVs, components, sites, and services." - Eallan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I don't play mine at all.
My 360 gets all the game time. - chrismgtis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4It also pretty much sucks and does not live up to the hype one bit. Anyone that actually looks at what it is and isn't capable of doing would recognize that. So theres no way it deserves #11/100. No way in hell.
- DeepFreezed, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3ha haaaa no playstation 3
- undersky, on 10/11/2007, -6/+9i have Blackberry 8800 and i can testify that it is indeed the best cell phone...especially for its stable OS and intuitive operation.
- meatmcguffin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3"Where in the World.....PC World"
Thinking about it, that doesn't even make sense. - libertao, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3@ripdog
Macs' selling point is definitely NOT its 'customizability' - theWrkncacnter, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Outlook Express should be banned as cruel and unusual punishment
- jonahan52, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Wow, he summerizes himself quite well there.
- helinism, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Must have been a slow day in the PC World office... Top lists = fodder and padding for when you have nothing of real interest to say! In the toplist of all toplists where would PC World come in?
- Hexxagonal, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3apple tv @ #11? that' s ridiculous. a gimped product that is geared only towards mac heads? please, the 360 is a better apple tv than the product itself. Maybe in a few product generations from now it'll be good but not now. Especially with the fact that the 360 can now play Plays for Sure, which means you don't have to use XLM to rent movies/tv.
the fact that so many people are hacking it is proof that it has issues. - cquinnd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3They've done the same thing for the past three years.

If they listed it as a best of 2006 list for this issue, nobody would buy the magazine. - webpoet73, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3There are quite a few Apple products on a list by PC WORLD magazine. Almost thought it was a MacWorld list. I love Apple, but jeez...
- KeyExpert, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Cue the oft-spouted Dvorak rant about how these lists are compiled by a bunch of bozos eating lunch in a conference room.
- G5Unit91, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The Apple TV really needs some work done on it. I don't think it deserved the 11 spot.
- chrismgtis, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3You also thought your vehicle was just a car didn't you. Is it not a product?
- Hexxagonal, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2agreed the fact that you need to mod the itv to get the features you want proves it has issues. maybe they have a special advance copy of the next iteration?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2How can it be best of 2007 when were not even half way through 2007..

What is Digg?
