- ryland2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+38Sorry, should have been "feared had been removed has been restored to friends page"
- spartan018, on 10/12/2007, -0/+28i'd still rather be able to search my previous diggs. maybe that'll be released tomorrow as a christmas present?
- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18That's not cool, Santa is so not dropping off "Hello Kitty Island Adventures" for you tonight.
- dosterm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16@Toon
I had that problem too, but it went away after I stopped sharing my pubes with my acquaintances. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I have no digg friends. Eerily similar to my real life... Hmm...
- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12That is one ugly browser.
- spartan018, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11why do you care if someone befriended you and then abandoned their account? if the list had never been there before, you'd have no idea, and your life wouldnt be any different.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10@toon
I just added you as a friend, please send me your postal address so I can ship the package of pubes to you - Toon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I always find it creepy to go in there and see who has befriended me. It's like when you have somebody as an acquaintance and you hear from one of your friends that that person is going around telling everybody that you two are now best friends. Also, he carries around a doll he weaved from your pubes.
- MadMan459, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8We think you suck too.
:-)
Merry Christmas
Happy New Year! - Wamzlee, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11I have nothing but contempt for you people.
Merry Christmas :o) - Jeffrey903, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Yes, I really miss this feature as well. I really hope it's added back soon.
- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11It is my belief that Steve Jobs is behind September 11th in an effort to detract attention from his senseless slaughter of turtles for their necks.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"I always find it creepy to go in there and see who has befriended me. I don't know I actually find it kind of flattering to know that people I don't know want to know what I've got to say, gives an adrenaline shot to the ego. - RockMyMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I just wish there was a way to edit that part. I have dead accounts in there and can't do anything about it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The same reason I am, because I love you
- muramasa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Nah. I think Digg's system of group-think based moderation works better than Slashdot's karma. It's too easy to game the karma system.
Garbage posts on Digg get moderated down fast as it is and I don't pay attention to what is highly moderated anyway. Works for me. - Coronagold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is so much kinder and gentler than that "Who Screwed Me" feature.
- OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Ah, ***** Christmas. You have to see a bunch of people you don't like and pretend you're happy to see them. Then you have to give them presents, only to get stuff in return that you don't want.
The only good thing about Christmas is the shooting of the midget out of the cannon, and the drinking of the goat blood when the full moon is up. Uh, sorry, I had my holidays mixed up for a second. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I think everyone in this thread should add everyone else as a friend.
That will show them!
Right? - ApplCmptrDood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@ iamcitizen
that is the icon for Marble Blast Gold, a game that came on all recent Macs until the Intel macs came along. At least I think so. Here's the website. http://www.garagegames.com/products/15/
I also wish I had known about that userscript! It would've been quite handy these past couple of days. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'm going to befriend you for no reason just to drive you mad with curiosity.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Any Mac users know what the icon to the left of Firefox is in the dock? Just curious...
Also, I had been using this ( http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/6829 ) userscript to retrieve the befriended list. - DRTED, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2lol supernick, join the club
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"[...] his senseless slaughter of turtles for their necks"
I vote for that as the funniest Steve Jobs joke ever. - MuTeD, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Yeah was about to say same thing, hideous.
- sephiroth965, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah I didn't realize people had befriended me until about a month ago. It's odd to wonder what made them befriend me(Of course I know it was one comment or another, because I don't submit any stories.)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6@invader
/. > Digg
*ducks* - invader, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2they haven't replaced the "Befriended (##)" text on the main friends page next to the "My Friends (##)" text :-(
that means DiggStatus is still out of commission.. - sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Instant friendship, just add whine. :p
http://www.digg.com/users/SuperNick/friends/befriended - iSamurai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was also using that script, but the new link is makes much more sense (placement and the like).
- OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1
Garbage posts on Digg get moderated down fast
Not necessarily. A lot of bad info gets modded up, lots of lame stories Dugg, and good info lost. Even worse is that any comment that is controversial or critical is almost guaranteed to get modded down, no matter how accurate it may be.
This is why it would be good to have some other rating for comments besides +/-, to highlight the really informative and helpful ones. - OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Now they need to get rid of that stupid "Friend not added. You are adding too many friends, wait a while before trying again" thing. I added *two* people and it won't let me add any more now. I think it should be changed to being able to add 10 per day, rather than how quickly you add them.
- MadMan459, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow, someone dugg you down for that comment?
Humorless bunch here tonight. It's Christmas for cryin' out Pete's sake. - catullus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah i remember kevin commenting on some other digg that that feature was coming back too once they upgraded some *****
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2To
Mike (NJShadow)

Why have you befriended me?
Just curious - jaxshores, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2OMG the drama.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I wish there was a way to remove people from befriended you, it's an invasion of privacy and can lead to cyber stalking"
How is it an invasion of privacy? If you don't want people know where you live why would you put your address and email address on a public forum like digg in the first place? Even if you were on a Forum that let you privatize your private info, I still wouldn't put all that infromation down. - dantidote, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2same here i'm soooo popular, haha.
- bravecoward, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ timdorr
Wow what are the odds that its the theme i use. - nofxjunkee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You know you're a shell junkie when you thought iamcitizen's post was a flawed attempt at a shell joke at first. ... "HA! you can't execute the root directory and redirect the output to digg! ... oh, i suck."
- m3mn0n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Good feature. I was waiting for this.
- grammarpolice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@ dAbReAkA, don't worry I will be your friend.
- geekitechture, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ah, now it makes sense. I was wondering why I feared this feature.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I demand that feature comes back, I digg before I read sometimes. That's the whole f-ing point of interesting headlines.
- Justin6512, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2anyone check out who befriended Kevin Rose. 814 pages :o
It's fun to try to find yourself!
http://digg.com/users/kevinrose/friends/befriended/page1 - kjhatch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I asked Digg support about it right after release, and they said, "We're working on adding it back in future versions of digg." --so I'm sure with all the comments/complaints it'll be back, eventually.
- OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1
why dont they let Google offer Search like they do on a lot of sites?
